The Climate Cons

The world’s climate criminals aren’t the energy companies selling the fossil fuels needed to power a modern economy, nor those that make the products that burn those fuels. The real offenders are the global warming alarmists who have once again revealed what the game is, and it has nothing to do with protecting the environment.

This year’s United Nations climate hootenanny, the 27th Congress of Parties, produced an agreement in which rich nations will pay reparations to poorer ones for the damage that their energy consumption has supposedly caused. Our own country, at the insistence of its increasingly impaired, ever-pandering-to-eco-cranks president, will even participate in the scam. The amount is not much relative to our economy – $1 billion – but it sets a precedent and tells the world that we’re willing dupes.

After all, 81 million Americans voted to put a mentally infirm man in the White House. So we must be in favor of atoning for our environmental sins by taking part in a U.N.-controlled slush fund.

But some of us see the shakedown for what it is: Part of a ruse to use a manufactured climate crisis as a way to punish prosperous nations for being rich (putting the greedy West in its place through wealth redistribution), and to replace capitalism with a collectivist economic system wherever and whenever possible.

Naturally the international highwaymen congratulated themselves on a job well done.

“This outcome moves us forward,” said Simon Stiell, executive secretary of the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change. “We have determined a way forward on a decades-long conversation on funding for loss and damage – deliberating over how we address the impacts on communities whose lives and livelihoods have been ruined by the very worst impacts of climate change.”

Don’t think that he’s referring to the natural variations in Earth’s climate. The message the world is supposed to understand without questioning its veracity is that man’s burning of fossil fuels is wrecking the climate as it overheats the planet.

There is zero evidence that this is the case, yet we are inundated daily, if not hourly, by irresponsible speculation, wild claims, breathless warnings. It’s disinformation in its purist form. Reliable facts, though, do exist, and they tell a much different story:

  • “Contrary to the notion that global warming is causing some massive disappearance of snow, data show that wintertime Northern Hemisphere snow cover has been increasing since the 1960s.” — Steve Milloy, Junk Science
  • The U.N.’s “1990 predictions were even worse than we thought.” — Christopher Monckton, policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher, Watts Up With That
  • “Fifty-year (1973-2022) summer (June/July/August) temperature trends for the contiguous 48 U.S. states from 36 CMIP-6 climate model experiments average nearly twice the warming rate as observed by the NOAA climate division dataset.” — Roy Spencer, climate researcher, University of Alabama in Huntsville.
  • “The linear warming trend since January 1979 now stands at +0.13 C/decade.” — Spencer
  • “We are fixated on the minutiae of greenhouse gas emissions levels and the abstract and impossible problem of constraining atmospheric CO2 concentration – while ignoring natural climate variability and drastically simplifying the human side.” — Judith Curry, former chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
  • “Data from the United States government and international sources show the frequency of hurricanes has slightly declined in recent years, and they have not become more severe. Data also shows wildfires have decreased over the past century. Instances of extreme drought and tornadoes also remained unchanged or slightly declined.” — Linnea Luekin, Heartland Institute
  • “Extreme temperatures have not increased. In the U.S. where we have the best data, heat waves have declined in frequency and intensity over the past 100 years, per the most recent U.S. National Climate Assessment.” — Milloy

Social media censors are likely to judge these truths, just a few of many, as hate speech. And maybe they’d be right. We hate that the lie has become the truth in the West, regarding the climate and so much more. It’s gone on for far too long. The game needs to end.

  • The true purpose of the Paris Accord has been known for years,at least since the Cancun summit in 2010.

“But climate assistance has revived the old idea of requiring wealthy nations to indemnify poor nations. The German newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung
observed shortly before the Cancun summit last year: “The next world
climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the
distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.” What
prompted this conclusion was a candid admission from a UN official
closely involved with the climate negotiations, German economist Ottmar
Edenhoffer: “But one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the
world’s wealth by climate policy. Obviously, the owners of coal and oil
will not be enthusiastic about this. One has to free oneself from the
illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This
has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore.”

The Paris accord is simply an attempt at legalizing a worldwide redistribution of wealth.

  • Here comes your 19th climate breakdown!

Not quite the Rolling Stones, but brought to you with more condescension by Global Warming “Experts.” Yes, it’s a climate breakdown, because climate catastrophe didn’t scare you enough. You have to remember that the “experts” pushing this are following “the science,” models that have predicted over twice the temperature increases that have actually occurred. They may be a little short on science and statistical significance for their models, but they have a thesaurus! If you ain’t scared of climate breakdown, they will look for an even scarier term, so please be really scared now, or they’ll double your order!

  • Call it a Plan B for Democrat party money laundering. This John Kerry/Democrat wealth-transfer scam will metastasize exponentially in size over time. It might also be viewed as an insurance policy, an alternative way to enrich the Democrat party and their elite via kickbacks and other mechanisms when the Ukraine money/weapons laundering scheme dries up. Climate change will be forever as a money laundering source. Whereas weapons sales for wars are only temporary, ending when wars are over. Afghanistan should be considered paid off for climate change with a surplus to give to other countries, via the $85 billion in weapons left behind by the Biden administration.

Kerry et al. are starting small to establish the principle of wealth distribution as being a sort of divine right. Marxism as religion, perhaps. Then over time via social media, NGOs, etc. activist demonstrations will be funded by USA taxpayers to create an illusion of popular demand for increasing transfer payments from billions to trillions. But like foreign aid, the USA will likely not transfer cash. Rather aid recipients will receive cash equivalents paid out in the form of surplus goods, banned pesticides, mRNA vaxxes, etc. Foreign aid business as usual. Aid recipients will be further subjugated, like in colonial times. This giant scam is far easier than stealing elections, as there is no need for public debate, voting, facts or proving your case. Fact is Pakistan et al. had monsoons, devastating floods and cholera plagues long before the climate change scam was invented by Marxist central planners.

  • When you Climate Alarmists vandalize works of art when Animal Rights idiots pour milk on the floor at the Super Market then you a re Crinimal,s and belong in Prison for 25 Years

  • So I remember being in New England in the 70’s and being convinced that a new ice age was imminent. My parents made the choice to move to Florida. My uncle in MA owned a snow plowing business and he was making bank, And then the snow stopped and his business failed. This is called weather.
