I & I Editorial BoardLast week we noted that so far there had been zero Atlantic hurricanes, a record. For the first time in 112 years, we’ve now gone this deep into hurricane season without one. Of course the media ignore this monumental phenomenon because it doesn’t fit the global warming tale. So what other inconvenient facts are they covering up? Here’s a partial list:
- The Great Barrier Reef, that immense coral system off of Australia’s northeastern coast, the largest living structure on the planet, which experts said was being killed by manmade global warming, has gone through its best five years on record. Official reef-wide statistics were “widely published as the Great Barrier Reef got worse,” says Danish researcher Bjorn Lomborg, but when the data showed improvement, the statistic keeping stopped.
- “Vegetation greenness has been increasing globally since at least 1981, when satellite technology enabled large-scale vegetation monitoring,” says a study published in Nature. “Global vegetation models suggest that CO2 fertilization is the main driver of global vegetation greening.” The volume of additional greenery is equivalent in size to the contiguous U.S. four times over. The findings support previous reports that reached the same conclusion: Earth is going green.
- A 2025 Nature paper that claimed climate change is making droughts worse has been retracted. Apparently its “findings were incorrect and based on shoddy methodology” and there were “gross errors throughout,” says Pierre Gosselin of the No Tricks Zone, a site that refuses to surrender to the climate zealots.
- Contrary to the alarmist claims that they are or will be a growing problem, we are seeing fewer wildfires. Credit the innovative, adaptive self-preservationist nature of mankind — that same mankind that is supposedly setting Earth on fire by combusting fossil fuels to improve our living experiences over those in, say, the Middle Ages, or even 100 years ago.
- The deadly flood in Nepal gave the alarmists yet another event to blame on anthropogenic global warming, but it was caused by a bedrock collapse, not carbon dioxide emissions that led to a glacier melt. The flood had nothing to do with climate change.
- Activists, Democrat politicians, the media, and general population cranks have long pointed to the worst-case-scenario, everyone-is-on-fire, the sky-is-aflame predictions pumped out by the United Nations as reason to stop using fossil fuels. As it turns out, the U.N admits the extreme forecasts are “implausible.” Will any of the purveyors of this fiction own up to their error, write lengthy articles explaining why they were wrong to trust the U.N. or apologize for unnecessarily stirring up fear?
Former climate activist/climate reporter Lucy Biggers, now head of social media at The Free Press, recently confessed that she “never covered positive climate stories because it would muddy the message that climate change was an existential threat that was burning the planet.” She would cover the stories “that made the climate look worse.” This is “why we rarely see events like this year’s historically quiet eastern hurricane season covered widely by the news,” she adds. “Many reporters believe covering it will give fodder to climate change deniers.”
She left the reservation but she says news outlets still have reporters who are agenda-driven as she was, and think they’re reporting the truth when they’re actually amplifying the activist propaganda.
Biggers, who admits she helped elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Congress, now says that “growing up” taught her “that prosperity comes from less government, less regulation, and lower taxes, not more of them.” We hope to see more transitions to reason from all reporters and editors, not just those covering climate. If so, the stories that refute the climate doom narrative will finally make their way to the top of the news.

Believe it or not, Climate Change (AKA Global Warming) and the Covid “vax” have a lot in common:
Both could not be explained succinctly; both explanations included contradictory and complicated information; both had “scientists” and doctors telling us absurd things, ignoring other things that went against the proposition; and both used the listeners pride to persuade the person listening that anyone should be able to understand the science and good medical advice that was being purveyed.
Oh yes. Both saw shrill and delusional organizations form and each loudly stood up for the accuracy of each conclusion.
A long time ago an accounting teacher of mine told me that if an audit is more than one or two paragraphs, count the silverware.
Neither the covid “vax” nor global warming made sense without the extra paragraphs and the screaming mimi-exclamations and hyperbole.

I am not a climate alarmist and I have always thought Algore to be a fool. I am as conservative as you will ever meet. But riddle me this: what do you think will happen to the air we breath and the climate that is in our atmosphere as we burn 100 million barrels of oil a day around the world? Does anyone think this will just have absolutely no effect whatsoever, seriously? Please let’s discuss, there are alternatives and solutions and I’m not talking about solar or wind both of which are a joke and a farce. Here is a great visual, if the earth were a ball 18 inches in diameter then the entire breathable atmosphere could be visualized by shrink wrapping the ball in a 3 mil thick plastic coating, about the thickness of your average plastic garbage bag.
You strive for perspective, (18″ Earth and all)… Good. Now let’s do the same with 20 Million barrels of oil a day. A 5X increase is an absurd straw man fear tactic far worse than any made in the “Population Bomb” that never exploded or Al Gore’s Inconvenient Nonsense. If Earth’s atmosphere was an backyard pool, the INCREASE in CO2 would amount to less than 3 gallons. The algae would eat all of it.
OK, here’s what will happen. The plane will produce more plants to remove the carbon dioxide. Se the bullet point Vegetation in the article. You might not have been aware of it, but within the last couple of years we had almost reached a tipping point of too little CO2 in the atmosphere. Had we succeeded in reaching that “goal the plant life on earth would have started to die off. No crops, no trees, etc. Look it up.
Very good question. The core of the problem is the conflation of carbon dioxide with pollutants.
The misinformation, appeals to emotion and all the rest of it, have made it extremely difficult to deal with the core problem, which is as it has been for seventy years; verifiable toxicity.
As soon as the high-consuming western nations began to deal with mitigating the toxicity, costs rose, because of course they would when you add the additional processes and the hardware required to implement them.
The immediate result was to offshore manufacturing in order to continue growth trajectories, rather than acknowledge end-to-end supply chain costs.
“clean” energy has its own toxicity costs, and they are being dealt with in similar fashion to those of petroleum-based products.
When we attempt to forecast with any accuracy, what happens is that the a priori assumption is that commodities are infinite, and they are not.
By that, I mean that ores and the raw materials required for chemical conversion processes, are subject to the limitations imposed by entropy; one of which is depletion of mines and discovery/development of new ones.
There are others, of course.
There is also a body of research involving the limitations of heat retention properties as a function of carbon dioxide atmospheric concentration.
The hysteria, elision and deliberate propagation of outright falsehood, are tedious beyond measure, and there is a cohort for whom such obfuscatory tactics are deliberate.
The theme that forms an undercurrent beneath all of this, is “gimme free stuff,” and that’s a universal trait expression. Neither liberals nor conservatives want to pay for what they demand, and the socialists just want to steal other people’s money, regardless.
Climate trends and science do not belong in the same sentence. Climate claims cannot be experimented upon and proven conclusively that true science requires.
A book, “Extraordinary Popular Delusions, The Madness of Crowds,” written in 1851 is worth reading. So many popular delusions back then which are similar to those of our times such as George Floyd Madness, Covid, BLM, national tolerance of Smash and Grabs, Homelessness, Global Cooling and then Global Warming and the Mass Delusional Tolerance of the failed educations of millions of our own students caused by the Monopoly of Teacher’s Unions. The Teacher’s Union is a Massive National Delusion, finally debunked by, of all unlikely people, Nikole Hannah-Jones.

On a clear, starry night you can catch a cold, and our ancestors were sometimes tempted to think that the Moon and the stars sucked heat from the Earth and made people ill. It was good observation but dodgy theorising.
Astronomers will now tell you that most of the bright stars are far hotter than the Sun. Yet when the biggest of them expire in mighty supernova explosions they spray the Galaxy with atomic bullets, the cosmic rays. As a result, those exploded stars do indeed chill the world, by making it cloudier.
Like other big discoveries, it seemed crazy at first. Who would think that the ordinary clouds that decorate the sky take their orders from exploded stars far off in space? Or that the climate obeys the swarms of atomic particles that rain down on us from the Milky Way?
Many experts scoffed when the Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark linked those cosmic rays to clouds and temperatures, but investigations around the world confirm his theory, altering much of what scientists believed they knew about the weather, the climate, and the long history of life on the Earth.
To unwrap some of Nature’s best kept secrets, this book visits unlikely places, from the Atlantic seafloor to fossil-rich hills in China, and from the stormy Sun to the spiral arms of the Milky Way.

The climate stuff is just part of another popular theme which is to create the concept of crisis in order to invite govt intervention. Politicians love crisis b/c it enables them to get out on front. Sadly most politicians have no background in any given field. They are there to get their name on a highway, protect a certain industry, or satisfy their own itch. The focus with the climate debate missed out on the item that does need addressing & that is the fed’s duty to mitigate human mortality & property damage to the extent possible. No politician ever runs on that. This includes better or innovative building codes, infrastructure, communication & evacuation pathways, sheltering. But they don’t care about folks except at election time. They only rush for the podium when a disaster happens. I will afford Gov. DeSantis more credit for actually getting out in front. The earth-sea-air system is dynamic. We’re somehow teaching kids today that we run the show. That is not science. We are capable of some structural innovations. As my interest in the earth sciences is about natural hazards, this is one core topic that does require teaching to the public. The technology is there to mitigate the effects. Humans don’t control climate, nor tsunamis, nor earthquakes. The green cult is about control of human behavior–to the point of ridiculousness. Rather green choices for one’s homestead must rely on the free market. When I testify in front of my state’s legislative committees I don’t pick sides. I’ll critique both b/c both make mistakes. They support the industries they want. I try to get them to the middle. I can’t tell you how hard it is to get our own Enviro Dept to take down invasive plants that harbor ticks & lanternflies & they want to control climate. It’s really about the climate police. I can tell the audience here that humans don’t control climate. We have to deal with the effect. There are some 20 processes involved in our atmosphere dynamics-that’s right-20. The greenhouse effect is just 1 factor & it’s not the major one & in the greenhouse effect it is water vapor that is the dominant factor. I love that phrase “climate change deniers.” Because according to the activists the climate should remain essentially identical over a region year after year after year after year, and would do so if not for human activity. That’s a complete denial of the dynamism in the climate – the insistence that the climate is somehow “parked” atop a region, never to move around.
That is, the activists running around yelling “Climate change deniers! Climate change deniers!” are the real climate deniers.

The only thing Al-G (AKA algae) ever eats is the fruit of his poisonous demagoguery. And, OH boy, does eat a glutton’s portion!
The lack of hurricanes is due more to the el nino than anything else. It’s a thing. It also makes the eastern pacific basin more prone to them. There has been a cat 5 cruising off the coast of Mexico the last several days. I am not disputing your premise yet the lack of hurricanes is due to the el nino and wind shears or something. I am not a sci guy. I just remember reading about it during one of the last el ninos. There have been about 6 hurricanes in the pacific over the last two weeks or so. Luckily they have stayed in the ocean for the most part yet one is fixin to hit Hawaii.
Climate change is a tautology. The very nature of Climate is to change, constantly.
A question: of what practical use is a GAT?
If I’m standing on the North Pole in a raging blizzard and -30F temps, why would I care that the GAT is estimated at 78.6F?
What if I were standing on the equator in triple digit heat at the same moment in time as above?
Same answer.
Well, the GAT does have one practical and amply demonstrated use. It’s a giant vacuum cleaner for collecting billions of “research” grant dollars … by the boatload!
