Republicans Will Snatch Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory — Again

Republicans have an uncanny gift of snatching defeat from the iron jaws of victory. In 2022, I wrote an article, “For the Love of God, Would You Please Stop Being Stupid?” I was appalled at the prissy nature of Republicans at a time when the Democrat-Communists of the White House Politburo were going for the jugular. Their attitude seemed to be that it would be impolite to fight back.

The Republican campaign ads were the usual moronic ones, the type that people automatically tune out. Oh, and lots of little yard signs. They did not even mention the COVID-19 lockdowns.

For the longest time, I cajoled, I begged, the local party to put up billboards spotlighting all the damage that Democrats had done with COVID. People had an unfocused anger over the COVID fiasco, which the Democrats were worried about. And when they finally did put up a billboard? It just said: Vote Republican.

Oh, yeah, sure, that was going to convince a lot of undecided people.

They never learn.

Nothing much has changed since then.

I once wrote a stage play, “Illegal Elian,” wherein a Cuban in Miami has abandoned political opposition to Castro while in exile because the only people going against the Communist murderers were buffoons, stupid clowns, the type of people who went to the Everglades to practice guerrilla war and who, upon their return to Cuba, got lost and had to be rescued. Or went on a boat with weapons to go to Cuba for the same purpose — and the boat ran out of gas. Morons.

The same type of people you often find in the Republican Party.

Mind you, I am far from being the only person fulminating at Republicans’ stupidity. Conservatives have been saying it for a long time. After all, the nickname of The Stupid Party exists for a reason.

A lot of conservatives simply don’t understand that a big chunk of the population are not political junkies, like they are. Many people who vote the Democratic ticket do so out of habit, without being aware of what Democrats are doing, or have been doing. Because of the White House Politburo, by 2024 the country was headed for an abyss. The Trump administration is carrying out a breathtaking turnaround, but unless a person is personally affected, a lot of people are in the dark. Furthermore, these clueless people get their information from the media hivemind, which is carrying out a scorched-earth policy against Trump, and the GOP in general, through censorship, fake news, and subliminal indoctrination.

Republicans, on the other hand, don’t bother to get their message out, thinking that a congressional hearing or a speech at the Heritage Foundation will, somehow, be known to the public.

And despite the amount of cash presently at the disposal of the RNC, it does not seem to be making a dent, to the point of even withdrawing from the North Carolina and Georgia races. Why? Simple.

A) The money is spent on the same idiotic TV ads, attacking this or that specific Democrat (usually in dark tones and an ominous voice), or conversely, the bright ones that show the Republican candidate “talking” or “listening” to regular people (actors, really). These ads are made by the traditional companies, the same companies that the Democrats use. The ads everyone automatically tunes out.

B) Campaign ads are being posted on TV and the internet. But billboards, flyers, and newspapers are being neglected — which are cheaper.

C) Their contents do not spotlight the Democrats’ overall record (instead of the individual candidate’s record), nor do they spotlight the recent achievements (which were really due to Trump, but for the sake of the election can be generalized to all Republicans).

If I were to be in charge of ads for Republicans, I would gut Democrats like a fish, not that I am a genius at marketing but, rather, that it is better than the ads Republicans are peddling. Free of charge, here are some ads for both the state and national Republican Parties to consider:

One. Rent billboards in cities that read “Vote Democrat.” The C would be changed to a hammer and sickle. Simple and to the point.

Two. Use TV/internet ads that ridicule Democrats. Make people laugh. Laughter attracts attention and retention.

Three. In Metropolitan cities, newspapers (even the simplest secondary ones) reach tens of thousands of people. Run an ad that simply states, without sensationalism, the following:

“In the past 2 years, under Republican rule, illegal aliens who illegally voted in national elections and who were being given taxpayers’ money have been found and arrested.

“In Washington, D.C., the monuments that were in squalor, and the Reflecting Pool, which was almost a swamp, have been restored to pristine order.

“Deregulation has already returned over $1.2 trillion to American pockets.

“TrumpRx.gov displays 600+ common generic drugs, enabling direct price comparisons, independent of insurance, going from the highest drug prices in the world to the lowest.

“20,000,000 people will be receiving $90 rebate checks.

“Every member of the military received $1,776.

“60,000,000 children are enrolled in Trump Accounts.

“New jobs have exceeded economists’ predictions. Along with that, the lowest poverty for blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans.

“Millions of illegal aliens have been deported. The number of aliens trying to enter the country illegally has dropped to zero. $800,000,000 earmarked for illegal aliens — canceled.

“No taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security.

\“Iran’s production of an atomic bomb was destroyed. As a result, Iran has urged Americans to vote Democrat.

“Venezuelan dictator Maduro was captured and brought to face justice.

“Fraud by Somalians in Minnesota and elsewhere has been halted. Fraudsters have been convicted.

“The criminal gangs MS-13 and Tren de Aragua that entered when we had no borders under the Democrats have been dismantled. Along the same lines, crime has dropped, with homicides at the lowest in half a century, longer in some cities.

“A law was passed criminalizing the sexual mutilation of children done in order to make them transgender.

“Over $175,000,000 that was being sent as Social Security payments to dead people was terminated.

“Republicans attempted to pass a law requiring voter ID to prevent fraudulent voting in elections, but failed because Democrats voted against it.

VOTE REPUBLICAN”

People react favorably when given reliable information, that is, facts. Offer people the facts, and they will choose wisely.

Or, you can spend the money on stupid little yard signs and stupid TV ads.

Oh, and drop those useless political consultants.

But, you know Republicans. They never learn. They never change.
