While their influence has begun to wane, as their credibility has crashed and their lies have been exposed, the fabrications, exaggerations, and junk science continue. How much longer must we endure their campaign of rancid propaganda?
The dawning moment of the global warming movement was NASA scientist James Hansen’s June 1988 testimony before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
“In my opinion,” he told lawmakers, “the greenhouse effect has been detected, and it is changing our climate now.”
There was evidence, he insisted, “that the Earth is warming by an amount which is too large to be a chance fluctuation and the similarity of the warming to that expected from the greenhouse effect represents a very strong case.”
And yet 38 years later, there’s been no climate catastrophe.
Reality hasn’t slowed the flood of lies, though. Let’s take a look at a few.
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee reflexively blamed his state’s wildfires on climate change. Soon thereafter, a man was arrested in connection with one of the three fires burning through Spokane County and has been questioned in arson investigations into other fires. And as our friends at Power Line have noted, wildfire damage in terms of acres burned peaked nearly a century ago and, in fact, is down more than 80%.
NPR wants Americans to believe “climate change is now threatening a pillar of childhood: summer break,” which has become “increasingly dangerous through heat, wildfire smoke, floods, and storms.” Retired meteorologist Anthony Watts says “the premise is false, ridiculous even,” with NPR relying “almost entirely on anecdotes rather than evidence.”
“What has changed is not that summer suddenly became dangerous. What has changed is the media’s insistence on framing ordinary weather challenges as catastrophic symptoms of dangerous climate change.”
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who is responsible for the migrant invasion from Morocco, swears that “climate change kills.” And not just people, but also “our ecosystem, our biodiversity” as well as “the things we as a society hold dear – our houses, our businesses, our livestock.” And where is the evidence? He offered none because there isn’t any. Why do voters in Western nations keep putting loons in office?
The BBC, yes, the Biased Broadcasting Corporation, reported last fall that Australia’s “Great Barrier Reef is headed for a ‘grim future‘ and could suffer a ‘rapid coral decline’ by 2050″ due to global warming. The statistics, however, show that the experts have been telling “us a fairy tale.” Over the more than 20 million years it has existed, the Great Barrier Reef has endured much warmer and far colder temperatures than today.
In a story about a report that should have been ignored, the BBC has also screeched that “climate change is slowing Earth’s spin – and there’s nothing quite like it in 3.6 million years.” We’re supposed to believe that water from polar ice sheet and glacier melting caused by human-caused global warming flows into the oceans and spreads toward the equator, shifting “mass away from Earth’s poles,” slowing the rotation.
“Sounds pretty bad, right?” asks meteorologist Chris Martz. “Well, it’s only by 1.33 milliseconds per century (and the article mentions that if you read beyond the headline), but Earth’s rotation speed has never been constant. In fact, it has steadily been gradually slowing for over 4 billion years because of frictional effects between the Earth and moon.
“For the planet’s rotation to slow by one whole second, it would take more than 75,000 years. So, this is just noise. It is biologically and technologically insignificant on time scales relevant to us.”
The above is a light sampling of the nonsense that the warming ideologues continue to yak up. Eventually we’ll be able to ignore their quackery as more and more realize they can’t be trusted. Until then, we’ll have to keep pointing out their whoppers.

When will the climate liars stop lying?: When the media stops broadcasting and printing their lies. Also, when the teachers stop teaching this evangelical junk as manna from heaven-and start analyzing and using their critical thinking skills they are suppose to have.
Climate alarmism has nothing to do with climate; its sole purpose is to expand the government’s control of the citizenry. The Dems are returning to their antebellum roots as evidenced by their resistance to fair elections and unwillingness to address massive frauds within government programs (which they keep funding).
Adherence to and belief in the religious ideology of Climate Change by so many of our friends, even our close friends, is similar to the beliefs of billions in our various religions, for which there also is no proof and tons of rational and common sense reasons not to believe.
The “devout” of any religion and the “devout” climate change believers are the ones most likely to go off the cliff for their beliefs.

You mean every known historical civilization that believed in God, or Gods, was “wrong”? How could that be. Just because you don’t adhere doesn’t mean God doesn’t exist. Climate Change hysteria is a new cult, but doom sayers have existed forever.
I am suggesting that belief is and always has been that, just that, belief. What is the proof? I also noted that these beliefs have always been characteristic of our human nature, our “need” to believe strongly in some things. A communal need. Even in our politics, the general public careens from one belief to another and another. Climate change has been one of many in our recent lives. Thank you for your comments.
Putting clamps on junk litigation would help slow this climate nonsense as well as the woke DEI that is proving so hard to root out of our institutions.

Never, and that’s “never” as in all the time between now and the end of the universe.
“Why” you might ask …
Well, although somewhat longer, that’s really simple as well: because the “climate liars” (and they ARE liars) are composed of two groups of people. Cultists who are brainless believers in their religious cause (hello Greta, that’s you) and Cultic Priests who are personally profiting to amounts ranging from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars peddling their false ideology.
Climate Change? Certainly. Global Warming? You bet. Since the glaciers began receding 19,000 years ago. Why is it the two strongest storms recorded in Western Hemisphere history, 1780 & 1900, occurred well before man-made climate change.
Our local paper, can I say it?, ran an opinion, similar to this, and the newest news, that the crisis is improbable, and impossible, that we’ve been lied to for years. A rebuttal appeared the next week, claiming “that’s false”, we are headed to a major crisis, unless we give up fossil fuels. It was so ridicules, relying on all the lies put forward by the media … not science. But this is California, so the loons are loose.
The weather this summer is deranged: forests burning like tinder, floods and storms, many parts of the planet suffering from outrageous heat. No, we did not have these phenomena in the previous century: the phrase “heat dome” was not invented because our climate had not evolved to the fragile situation we now face. Cherry picking a few contradictions does not overturn the painful reality of overheated oceans, scorching summers and dead crops.
Yes, we had all of these things previously. Just because you’re sold on the lies, doesn’t make any of it true. There are thousands of scientists who have the truth about the government and globalist paid cultist. You are proof that the cultist leaders are good at their jobs, at least with those who are easily brainwashed. Oh, and wildfires have been happening forever. Also, the majority of these fires are arson.
What do you mean we didn’t “have them” 40 years ago. Yeah, we did, the are no brand new phenomena that just popped up in the last decades. What is different is HOW we report weather. It’s turbo-charged with language now and terms like “heat domes” used to be called “high pressure” areas.
Nothing we’re experiencing now is that different from 20 generations ago when bad weather was assumed to be part of life on Earth. Now, we arrogantly think that when things happen, of course it’s human made. Not necessarily, my friend.
Crops have been scorched for century. Droughts have occurred since antiquity. Strong storms really did exist.
There are a few questions you CAN’T answer if you tried is
1. What is the “right” temperature for any given place? Who determines that? “Experts?” those are the guys who told us we had until 2005 before the whole thing went up in smoke.
2.”how is anything we’re doing or proposing doing to combat climate change, going to get us back to where we’re supposed to be?
Go for it, but please make sure you inject more scary language, just like the others to make the flimsy argument to hold up.
“Largest Wildfire (1960): The largest wildfire in Los Angeles County occurred in the Angeles National Forest in July 1960.
Bel Air Fire (1961): On November 6, 1961, strong Santa Ana winds exacerbated the fire, leading to widespread destruction.”
In the song, “LA Woman” by the Doors, Jim Morrison sings about LA as if it is a woman, and uses the phrase, “I see your hair is burning, hills are filled with fire.” It was in reference to those catastrophic fires…65 years ago.
“Catastrophic anthropogenic climate change” is a massive multi trillion dollar grift. It will only stop when the money dries up. And that will only happen when they run out of suckers dumb enough to believe it. The media, politicians, and academics of course have a vested interest in seeing it continue indefinitely, so the lies will continue for the foreseeable future.
A couple of observations:
1) About 199 billion tons of CO2 is generated every year of which only 9 billion tons are human generated. It would be more appropriate to blame the arsonists who keep setting things on fire for global warming. The fires are increasing the CO2 and therefore global warming not the other way around Guv Inslee.
2) During the plandemic, the roads in America were virtually empty yet there was never even a little blip in the CO2 levels.
When the lie is all you have, you don’t give it up.
well, since it is impossible for liberals to hold abortion over our heads as proof of their superior intellect and compassion, the climate change issue is used to serve the purpose.
Way back in 1977 the chief scientist at exxon published a paper calculating the cumulative effect of burning oil and predicted very accurately when we would see atmospheric heating as a result. Go find the paper, its still available. He was initially hailed as a genius and promoted publicly by exxon. Then they changed their mind in the early 80’s and fired him. I am as conservative as they come, not some tree hugger or nut job. You can call it anything you want but the unrelenting daily pollution of the atmosphere by over 8 billion humans is making a mark. Pretending nothing is wrong won’t make the problem go away. Saying we have seen catastrophic global issues in the past has zero relevance to today. The number one thing I see is the simple and undeniable fact that ocean acidity is way up, constantly going up and is easily measured. The powers that be would rather eliminate mankind than give up their money and power. Stand by for the next pandemic.
Humans should intervene to cool the planet regardless of your feelings about global warming. Make the planet better.
Lots of people are working on carbon-free electric generation the form of nuclear fission for the near future and nuclear fusion for the distant future. People fight this transition, but it seems that this resistance is slowly changing as people start to realize that renewables might be a supplemental source of electrical energy, renewables will never be enough because they aren’t reliable. Modern reactors are being tested as I write and will likely become commonplace within the next decade if not sooner.

I especially find it interesting that French govt officials state that using air conditioning in their country would result in forest fires, etc., when France has derives more than 70% of their energy from nuclear sources.
