Dear Kamala, We Want To Go Back. And So Should Everyone Else

At every rally, without fail, Vice President Kamala Harris gets the crowd to start chanting “we’re not going back!”

“Well, look,” she said in Pennsylvania last month, “America has tried those failed policies before, and we are not going back! We are not going back! Not going back!”

Well, look, Kamala, we want to go back! And we fervently hope and pray that most Americans do as well. And that they vote that way in November.

We want to go back to a time before Joe Biden and Kamala Harris wrecked the economy, before they unleashed the inflation monster, before they threw open the border, let criminals run free, and exuded weakness abroad.

In other words, we want to go back to a time when a tax-cutting, pro-growth, anti-regulation, strong defense president was in the White House and America was prosperous and the world at peace.

What we don’t want is to go forward with the Biden-Harris disaster, which is what Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will give us, good and hard.

So, as a reader service, we’ve gathered a brief sampling of reasons why the public should join us in desperately wanting to go back to the “failed policies” we had under Trump, and not continue with the “leadership” we’ve seen under Biden-Harris. (Readers are invited to add to this list using the comment section below.)

Inflation. Prices have climbed 20% in the three-and-a-half years Biden and Harris have been in office. That compares with 8% during Trump’s entire term. The massive increase in prices under Biden-Harris was exactly what many economists predicted would happen when the administration poured trillions of borrowed dollars onto a fast-growing economy.

Wages. Real wages are 2.5% below where they were when Biden-Harris took office. They climbed 7% during Trump’s first term – and had been up 10% before the idiotic COVID measures pulled them down.

National debt. Biden-Harris have added $7 trillion to the national debt – an increase of 25%. And monthly interest payments on that debt are now 200% higher than they were when Trump left office.

Crime. Biden-Harris keep crowing about how crime rates are down. But that’s not true.

Even though rates have declined somewhat in the past two years, in many categories they are still much higher than they were under Trump. Murders in 2023, for example, were 18% higher in 2023 than they were in 2019. Assaults with guns were up 32%, carjackings had nearly doubled, according to the Council on Criminal Justice.

Illegal immigration. In Trump’s entire four years in office, roughly 2 million illegals were encountered at the border, most of whom were turned back. So far under Biden-Harris, more than 10 million have been “encountered” by border patrol agents after crossing illegally, and there have been some 2 million “gotaways,” as well. Under Biden, most of the 10 million who were “encountered” were simply waved into the country on the promise of showing up for an asylum hearing well in the future.

Direction of the country. Before COVID, 54% said the country was on the wrong track, according to RealClearPolitics. Today, 65% feel that way.

Confidence: Under Trump, the University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index was consistently around 100. Today, it is 69.4, which is down from 79 in January.

National security. Under Trump, ISIS was quickly routed, Iran was on its knees, Russia made no moves against its neighbors, and Israel was signing peace deals with its neighbors. The Biden-Harris disaster in Afghanistan resulted in 13 dead American soldiers and left the Taliban with billions of dollars worth of U.S. weapons. Biden-Harris also unfroze billions of dollars in Iranian funds, which this terrorist nation then used to run a spy ring in the Biden administration, finance attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq and shipping in the Red Sea, and train Hamas for its ambush of Israel. Russia invaded Ukraine. China felt free to send a spy balloon across the entire U.S. And Hamas still holds Americans captive after almost a year of Biden-Harris dithering.

So, please, for the love of God, take us back!

Addendum: Like so many other Harris lines – “unburdened by what has been,” “duality of democracy,” “significance of the passage of time” – her trite and meaningless “we’re not going back” line is one she’s used before. In fact, she used the exact line when she was running in 2019.

  • The reality is even worse than reflected here:

Inflation – as covered in this space in the past, inflation statistics are a lie. Americans are getting crushed where it hurts the most: food, gasoline, shelter.
Many of the very few food items on which I focus have not jumped 20%, but in some cases doubled or nearly doubled.

Crime – it’s not just certain crimes that have continued to explode. It’s that the “falling crime” statistics reflect under-and non-reporting as well as growing non-enforcement. If police don’t respond to a shoplifting and it’s not reported, for example, it still happened. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fbis-data-is-faulty-as-crime-proliferates-in-big-cities-report

Immigration – every state is now a border state. It’s not just illegal immigration at the border – state and local budgets are being overwhelmed even by legal immigrants. Look at what’s happening, for example, to little Springfield OH, crushed by an influx of perhaps 20,000 Haitian immigrants — a third of its population — over the last few years.

One community health care clinic alone spent $344,000 — no that’s not a typo — on translation services.

National Security – Ms. Harris deserves to lose on one issue alone — trading the national security of our #1 ally, Israel, and by extension our own, for the sake of a few thousand Muslim immigrant votes in Michigan, where speakers and protesters dare to chant “death to America,” the nation that has opened its doors to them.

And don’t forget Identity Politics – DEI is going down the drain among major corporations because consumers are sick of it and employees are pushing back. But that hasn’t stopped the Harris-Biden administration from forcing the LGBTQ agenda down the throats of American businesses and educational institutions.

And on and on and on…

    • Brilliant post Sir. May I copy it and share on my FB page, attributed to you of course.

    • I am from the UK and I can see how useless she is. Kamala Devi Harris, her full name, has some clues. Anagrams include

      viral mask airhead
      A devil sharia mark
      a dark vie sham liar

  • I think we don’t need to go back. I think we need to go away — away from the horrid mess the Democrat party has dumped on us. I’m not a Trump fan, and never have been. But if he’s the other choice, I’ll vote for him. I’d vote for my stupid cat before I’d vote for cacklin’ Kamala. He’s sharper than Joe Biden (not by a lot) and he doesn’t cackle.

  • It is astonishing that anyone takes Kamala H. seriously as a candidate.
She has been a joke for four years.

She was fully acknowledged to be Biden’s impeachment insurance as Biden had been Obama’s impeachment insurance. How low have we gone in this descending hierarchy of insurance policies!

Kamala is a much better candidate for SNL with her always amusingly, befuddling and very original incoherent speeches.

Yes, I could see a few people voting for her for a high school class president, maybe, but our extremely important national mission is elect a Commander in Chief in a troubled world to protect and to strengthen the USA.

  • I live in a suburb of Cincinnati,Ohio. I just heard on the Clay and Buck show that people in Springfield, Ohio had illegals stealing their pets and actually skinning them so they can eat them.
The same thing is happening at parks with ducks. There is a video on the web site of the Times of India (no media exposure that I’ve seen so far in the US-except for Clay&Buck show)showing a Haitian carrying a duck whose neck was broken by (allegedly) him-apparently he intending to cook up the duck.
Also, elderly with houses or apartments are having trouble keeping their legals property where they’ve lived for decades from the incursions and commandeering by illegals. This is not just happening in Colorado but in other states also.
What is this country coming to?!!!
I can’t believe anyone would vote for the Democratic candidate who allowed these immigrants to illegally pour in. But I won’t be surprised, anyway, when the election comes in as being close.
People are just not as intelligent or well schooled as they use to be.
I just wonder (I hope it’s Trump) which candidate will win the election.

  • Confidence!! Due to continuous miss-information and outright perversion of American institutions, American have no-one to trust for true information, spiritual guidance, public education or even child care. My boycott list is longer than the grocery list and the number of forever abandoned businesses swells every day. Show me a rainbow and I’ll show you my heels.
Reality may be a real bitch, but it sure is durable.
SCIENCE says male-female. North-South. Straight-bent. It’s hard to dodge reality without going crazy first.

  • Politicians often invent trite slogans like “we are not going back” to fire up the mindless base. The base are unaware of much. The politicians know its trite. They don’t really see it as any call to action. Kamala, even at her freshest and most original is trite and may not know this.

  • Everything was better at the start of the Trump administration but a lot worse by the end. He was great at taking credit when conditions were good, and terrible at handling a crisis.
