Just one week ago, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas flat out denied that there is a crisis at the southern border. “The answer is no,” he said in answer to a reporter’s question. “I think there is a challenge at the border that we are managing.”
The very next day, administration officials informed President Joe Biden that the number of migrant children in the U.S. is on pace to beat the previous record by 45% and that there aren’t enough beds to accommodate them.
Then Monday, Mayorkas started pleading for volunteers to help Border Protection cope with the “overwhelming” surge of illegal border crossers. “Your colleagues need assistance,” he said.
In January alone, Border Patrol agents had 78,323 “encounters” with illegal border crossers – which is higher than any January in a decade. In the three months since Biden won the election, these “encounters” totaled 224,337, which is 87% higher than the same three months a year ago.
According to the New York Times, there were likely 100,000 more “encounters” in February.
NBC News says that a “record number of unaccompanied migrant children” are being held in “facilities meant for adults” and nearly half have been held for longer than the three-day limit.
“The CBP holding cells, sometimes known as ‘hieleras,’ or iceboxes, are not designed for children. They are typically small concrete rooms with concrete or metal benches and no beds,” it reported.
Yet Biden won’t explain why the surge is happening, much less take responsibility for it. He won’t even admit there’s a problem.
Last week, a reporter asked Biden: “Did you receive a briefing about the border today?”
Biden: “Uhhhh. Yes, I did.”
Reporter: “What did you learn?”
Biden: “A lot.”
Then Biden left the room.
This week, his press secretary Jen Psaki would only say that “this is a heartbreaking circumstance at the border,” as though it were akin to an unexpected weather event. She even tried to blame two hurricanes from last year for today’s surge.
But even the New York Times (sort of) admits that Biden is responsible. Because of his “change in tone and approach … migrants are once again fleeing poverty, violence and the devastation left by hurricanes and heading north toward the United States.”
A “change in tone and approach” is a huge understatement. Let’s review what Biden has done so far to encourage illegal border crossers.
First, he canceled Donald Trump’s construction of the border wall. Next, he jettisoned Trump’s successful “remain in Mexico” policy that required asylum seekers caught in the U.S. to wait in Mexico while their cases were adjudicated.
Then he suspended Trump’s requirement that asylum seekers who traverse another country before reaching the U.S. had to seek asylum in that first country first.
Biden also stopped using Title 42, which gave border agents the ability to immediately remove illegals in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
He announced a 100-day “pause” on deportations, then issued new rules that cripple the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency’s ability to arrest and deport illegals in what the Washington Post described as “to a major shift in enforcement.”
Biden has also proposed the most sweeping amnesty for illegals in history.
As former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf told Fox News, “there’s been a number of executive orders and policies that have created a border crisis, a humanitarian crisis.”
Pay close attention to those last two words. In just seven weeks, Biden, and Biden alone, created a dangerous and deplorable humanitarian crisis through his unilateral actions.
This issue isn’t how will Biden “deal with” the surge of illegal border crossers. The issue is whether anyone will force Biden to take responsibility for causing it in the first place.

It is the desired effect, Cloward and Piven, overwhelm the system and let it collapse.
After many fits and starts to stem illegal traffic across our southern border, the Trump administration worked with Mexico to enforce a workable arrangement that kept migrants in Mexico while legal procedures proceeded. In an unthinking anti-Trump reflex, the Biden administration canceled what had been working at the border and now we have what most of us believe is a crisis but which Biden messaging flacks call a challenge only. So challenge it is. But I want to know just how much of a challenge – teensy-weensy or somewhat bigger?
Biden broke the border. Biden is responsible for the results. Biden will not suffer any consequences. The American People will bear the cost of his actions. Just as in the past with other Socialist/Communist leaders.
I know what a coup looks like. A stolen landslide election, bringing in your totalitarian regime at gunpoint with help from your Gestapo DOJ FIB CIA SUPREME COURT NSA and Propaganda Media. Hiding behind walls troops and razor wire because you are scared of We the People. Giving billions to our enemies destroying our borders, look for yourself you can see it. There is no 2022 2024 they own the election system. They RULE they Don’t govern they don’t care what we think.
Biden and his Puppeteers do not care! Their goal is to cause large scale unemployment, break the economy, and replace American Voters wt those from the Third world who depend on the state at home and make them dependent here and support the one party Global Socialist/Marxist NE Nazis in DC. A war on white People,and Western Christian Civilization.
Our Bill of Rights and Sovereignty are now on the chopping block and RINOs are in league with them! The Chambers of Commerce, Slum Lords, and Global Corporate see profits in it!
Biden is not responsible for these problems. Trump is. Trump! It doesn’t matter what Biden does – Trump is to blame. Why? The media says so. End of story.

America goes from wanting immigration laws that were practical enough to enforce to putting little kids in ice houses at the stroke of one man’s pen. Couple with the way the elections played out we seem to live in a dictatorship. A military dictatorship when we realize the President is the Commander in Chief of the Military…..I’m glad our betters stepped in and saved us prom peace and prosperity. How could they make any money under those conditions…..
