I & I Editorial BoardIf President Donald Trump is considering handing over billions to the terrorists of Tehran and leaving them in control of the Strait of Hormuz, as some news dispatches have indicated, he will have committed a blunder. The only choice they should be offered is to give up everything or lose it all to the almighty forces of the U.S. and Israeli militaries.
If not, the Iranian threat will never be eliminated, only weakened for a time before returning to its demonic affairs, leaving a mess for someone else to clean up. Because Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had the courage to do what should have been done more than 45 years ago, the regime is staggering, and no lifeline should be tossed its way.
Various reports indicate that the regime is unwilling to give up control of the Strait of Hormuz, wants as much as $120 billion in frozen assets released (and a $12 billion payment just to continue talks), is refusing to hand over its highly enriched uranium, and is demanding reparations and an end to the sanctions. It’s hard to know what are concocted narratives and what can be fully relied on. But if Trump is entertaining any of these conditions, he is contemplating a grave error.
The president has no choice but to take a hard line as if the regime were the Nazis in 1945. The Allies then required Germany to “surrender unconditionally” the entirety of its “forces on land, sea and in the air who are at this date under German control.” Anything less would empower the depraved remnant in Tehran to start the cycle again.
Then the trials must begin. Just as the Nazis were held accountable for their crimes, the remaining “leaders” of the regime must be brought to justice for the terrorism they’ve wrought abroad and the offenses, including tens of thousands of murders, they’ve committed at home. The best that any could hope for should be house arrest for life in a country far from the Middle East, which they should prefer over the obliteration they should be told they will receive if they don’t submit. We are dealing with tyrants, butchers of humans whose claim to absolute power justifies their evil acts. Extending mercy endangers hundreds of millions.
The part of the world that treasures human life and liberty has to hope that Trump sticks to his pledge that “there will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” It might not be a surrender on paper but instead a situation in which “they can’t fight any longer because they don’t have anyone or anything to fight with.”
In fact, that might be the best outcome of all possibilities. Exterminating the nest of some of the most wicked people on Earth would be a righteous act of humanity.

We must realize the terrorist culture is built on lies and more lies. It is the essence of their culture. They can never be trusted no matter what they say or do. We are dealing with pure evil and we in the west cannot totally comprehend the extent of that evil. A deal is the last thing we should be talking about. We must show our might and defeat them the way evil is always defeated. Thank you I & I for your posting. It seems some in the administration are naive, terribly so! Maybe they are holding cards close. If so it might be time to show a few more. The Iran power people see only weakness and are slow walking thinking they are stronger. They have practiced their art of conniving for a long time.
Why o’ why are not demonic zealots recognized for what they are?
The Iran Govt. has more in common with hell than heaven. Allowing them to survive just kicks the ball down the court.
What Clinton, the Bushs, Obama and Biden did to Trump-creating a big problem in the Middle East which navigated itself to the rest of the world and will finally be terminated-hopefully-in the 2nd term of President Trump.
In my opinion it is on par with blinkering our eyes as Germany and Japan built up its armaments during the 1930’s.
Remember, besides being an unholy Middle-Eastern terror, Iran gave money to its proxies to murder over 600 Americans-both military and civilians in the last 50 years.
In effect, Iran’s Govt. were contract killers-they paid the proxies to kill Americans (and others). For Justice’s sake alone it shouldn’t be allowed to survive.
Moreover, 9/11 would not have happened if the anti-American and anti-Western stew that Iran fomented in the Middle East had not been stirred up by-in part-the Iranian Govt.
The Iranian Govt. has more in common with hell than with heaven. The hell that is the Iranian Govt. should not be allowed to continue.
The only good reason that we are allowing for Iranian-delays and pattycake negotiations, in my opinion, is to give the Iranian people time to coalesce to overthrow their government.
I can’t wait for that day where the night that is the Iranian Govt. is finally erased from the annals of future-history and the face of this Earth!
The winners of wars dictate terms! They do NOT “negotiate” with the losers. That’s why Iran thinks it “won.” We are showing weakness to a country that only respects strength.

I think it’s about time we started insisting on the Iranian People to step up and start helping the US to get rid of their OWN Terrorist Govt. that they put into power. Promise them, we will bring fast and deadly force to their aid whenever they start fighting back. We will figure out a way to get them arms immediately to fight back against the terrorists attacking their protests. Our Blackhawks can inflict very accurate firepower in a hurry.
I am a liberal Democrat who idolizes FDR. I am also a second generation Iranian-American whose parents emigrated from Iran. I know how evil and despicable the Islamic Republic is. They are true Nazis. FDR never negotiated with the German Nazis. FDR sought the total destruction of that regime. Trump should take the same approach with the Islamic Republic. If Trump wants a lasting legacy, he should do everything in his power to end the demonic regime in Iran. I have never voted for the GOP or Trump and never will, but his instincts were correct when he chose to confront the Islamic Republic.
The administration has made it clear that eliminating the Iranian nuke is the prime goal. Anything else, like opening the Strait, is what the oil sellers and oil buyers should do. And should have done a long time ago. Other than that, everyone should stop reading and reacting to anti-American propaganda. And especially not believe their ‘warnings’ on Trump making a bad deal.
I’m a big Trump supporter, but he’s getting bad counsel. He’s afraid of doing what has to be done. Until the Mullahs are driven back into the desert with their camels and their kill or convert culture there will be no lasting solution. There is no negotiating with people who only exist to destroy the Great Satan and the Little Satan. Finish it Mr. President!
It’s a coalition, which means Trump gains in pressuring the Iranians but loses his ability to act unilaterally. Newt Gingrich says the coalition is the first of its kind and history in the making. I agree. Eisenhower put up with a lot of grief with his fellow allies during WWII. This is how it goes with coalitions.
