I & I Editorial BoardAfter it came to light that Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s attorney general, had fantasized about killing a political opponent and his children, some were surprised that other Democrats didn’t condemn him.
No one should have been surprised. Because what Jones said is a widely shared belief among Democrats these days.
According to National Review, which broke the explosive Jones story, he told a colleague that “the only way public policy changes is when policymakers feel pain themselves, like the pain that parents feel when they watch their children die from gun violence.” He was referring to a specific Republican state lawmaker and his family.
The reaction among fellow Democrats? Crickets.
If you think that’s scary, consider this:
Over the weekend, the Skeptic Research Center released results of a poll of 3,000 adults asking whether they agreed or disagreed with the statement: “violence is often necessary to create social change.” (Note the similarity between the question and what Jones said.)
What did the poll find? Nearly half of young, liberal, well-educated adults – in other words, the mainstream of the Democratic party these days – condone political violence.
Of “very liberal” respondents, for example, 44% agreed that “violence is often necessary to create social change.” Among Gen Z liberals, the number rose to 49%.
And 40% of those with an advanced degree college condoned political violence, compared with 26% of those with a bachelor’s and 23% of high school graduates.
We’re talking millions upon millions of Democrats who’ve been radicalized to believe that burning buildings, terrorizing neighbors, and killing opponents are reasonable acts.
This adds still more evidence to the pile about the violent tendencies of “peace and love” leftists who now control the Democratic party – something we have been tracking at I&I for years. Just a couple of weeks ago, researchers found that in the first six months of this year, left-wing terrorist attacks were already outpacing those from the far right – before Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the spate of anti-ICE violence, and other targeted political attacks by leftists.
What’s more, there’s evidence that the left’s attraction to violence isn’t just a result of their fears about Donald Trump or their concern about the future of democracy, but their warped moral compass.
One research paper found that “conservatives have more favorable opinions of liberals than liberals have of conservatives, and thus conservatives extend more empathy to liberals in times of need.”
Translated: leftists have a strong (but wholly misguided) sense of moral superiority over conservatives, which can easily be used to justify violence.
Incredibly, the response from many on the establishment right has been to ignore the frightening rise in violent rhetoric and violent actions coming from the left, while adding fuel to the rhetorical fire with their own apocalyptic language about anything and everything President Trump does.
It’s time for the public (and especially these weak-kneed “conservatives”) to wake up and realize where the real threat to civilized society is coming from. And it’s not from the current occupant of the White House. Because once Trump is gone, leftists will simply direct their hatred and violence to the next prominent conservative.

What is striking to me (and very scary) is that the higher the education, the greater likelihood the student will condone violence.
Of course, this makes sense-and could show that the more education one has the more he is taught by progressive, leftists professors-and the greater opportunity he has to come in contact with his fellow students who also have been thoroughly indoctrinated by his professors.
However, it could show that only progressive students go to college or universities. The ones who decide not to go to college-and rack up tuition debts-had never taken to the leftist propaganda that the high school teachers dished out.
Avoiding educational debt and being propagandized to, in my opinion makes these students/adults smarter-although less educated.
I think getting acquainted with the real world would instruct the young that Conservatism is better than Liberalism-especially as liberalism is practiced today.
Many high school students are entering work and not going to college in the main part to avoid being indebted.
Thus, the student not indebting himself and seeing how the world actually works benefits not only society but also the student.
This benefit-which naturally occurs-should be one of the reasons why students should not go to college. It is not only to avoid the student loans and to make a life, but also the natural byproduct is to make oneself a better citizen.
The lesson today is: Stay away from the “Teaching” class! They are toxic empathy personified.
The elite leftists have corrupted law enforcement in the blue cities to the point that the police are protecting the rioters from the public, rather than protecting the public from the rioters. ANTIFA are their pet protesters who can literally run riot and burn down the businesses and homes of the locals without interference from the police, who stand aside and watch.
Kyle Rittenhouse outraged the left by defending himself and returning fire when the ANTIFA mob tried to first shoot him, and then run him down and kill him. The leftists were livid because he shot their pets.
The only reason why the BLM/ANTIFA riots ended was that they started to go after the rich and the powerful leftists, and that finally triggered a police response. It was fine for them to burn down entire neighborhoods in California until they went for Beverly Hills, and that was precisely when and where the cops started enforcing the laws against arson and rioting again.
The elites with graduate degrees can support political violence because they know that their homes won’t get torched. The lower classes hate political violence because they expect to be the victims of the next series of leftist riots.
The Democrats are self-sabotaging their popularity by catering to the elitists and ignoring the average Joes who don’t want to watch their car get set on fire by ANTIFA in the next wave of carefully choreographed riots.

Be careful here folks, because while political violence isn’t lawful, the democrat party has long passed the point where they are amenable to changing their policies.
