Our goal then and now is to bring our decades of combined journalism experience to help readers understand the top issues of the day. I&I is a completely independent operation, beholden to none, but committed to providing cogent, rational, data-driven, fact-based commentary that the nation so desperately needs.

Isn’t it time to include the unions in the Sherman antitrust law?
Our unions cause much more economic, cultural and social damage than the merger of any corporations. Teachers, Longshoreman, Steel Workers, UAW and all the big ones. The monopoly power of the smaller unions cause the same damage, too. Their non competitive monopoly powers need to be stopped to be fair to all Americans.
Regarding this cartoon, it is the monopoly power of the teachers union across the US, that has been systemically ruining education. Why allow that? Why do union leaders sacrifice their own children to be poorly educated by their union?
Should these monopolies be DOGEd?
