Not long after the global temperature, which doesn’t actually exist in any statistically meaningful way, blew through the mark at which we are supposed to start burning, and days after a new paper showed that the global warming narrative is exactly backward, the Biden administration awarded $4.3 billion in climate grants. It’s the work of an incompetent.
As well as that of an ideologue, which is equally as dangerous, since ideologues tend to refuse to listen to reason.
In 2020, when Joe Biden was running for office, he was thoroughly sullied when Barack Obama, his boss of eight years, said “don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up.” Over his three years and six months as president, Joe has amply demonstrated that Obama was correct. And he did it again this week, when his Environmental Protection Agency announced its “selected recipients of over $4.3 billion in Climate Pollution Reduction Grants to implement community-driven solutions that tackle the climate crisis, reduce air pollution, advance environmental justice, and accelerate America’s clean energy transition.”
We predict the funds will do none of those things. The entire “initiative is just one small piece of the vast economic waste of the falsely named Inflation Reduction Act, with its multi-trillion dollars of subsidies for uneconomic projects,” says blogger Manhattan Contrarian, who incisively likens it to Mao’s “Great Leap Foward.”
But that money is good for locking up votes for Democrats who are committed to carrying on their global warming foolishness, and for lining the pockets of grifters who will elect Democrats to keep the dollars rolling in.
Of course, there’s no compelling or even slightly marginal reason to continue to spend taxpayers’ money on “fighting” global warming. Over the last year or so, our world busted right through the temperature limit that all previous spending was supposed to stop. The non-Fauci “science” had been warning us for decades that when Earth’s temperature was 1.5 degrees Celsius higher than pre-industrial levels it would “be catastrophic for the environment and human health,” meteorologist and healthy skeptic Anthony Watts writes.
Yet we’re still here, some of us hot, some of us cool – even in the Northern Hemisphere’s summer.
Frankly, trying to establish a “global temperature” is a rather impossible task. “The concept is thermodynamically as well as mathematically an impossibility,” according to Bjarne Andresen, a professor at The Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.
Biden’s constituent gift also arrives at the same time that research suggests – and not for the first time – that “while there is a close relationship between temperature and atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration, it is temperature that leads, while [CO2] lags.”
“This is the case not only in the distant past and on large time scales, but also in the recent period covered by reliable instrumental records,” says Demetris Koutsoyiannis, a Greek hydrology researcher. “This happens not only at the monthly or annual time scale, but also at the decadal time scale.”
There are many other gaps in the nags’ global warming narrative, which we have documented over the years, and they all add up to one thing: We’re being manipulated, bullied, conned, and robbed for no good reason whatsoever.

More nonsensical disinformation by I&I.
I’ll comment on one statement: “Over the last year or so, our world busted right through the temperature limit that all previous spending was supposed to stop.”
Did anyone say that we were doing enough to stop it? Not that I’ve heard. So, the fact that we haven’t stopped it is not an indication that the scientists are wrong. It’s consistent with the science.
After all the years of deniers claiming that warming wasn’t happening, so we dont’ need to do anything about it, now the argument is that what we’ve done so far wasn’t enough, so we were wrong to try? Scientists know that what we’ve done so far wasn’t enough. We have to do much more.
Have you ever spoken to a geologist on this subject? A solar astronomer? Or do you only listen to the “97% of scientists” which is anything but? Are you 100% your views on the subject are not just an artifact of PR, the modern Pravda echo chamber, the desire of the “97%” to get lots more fat grants, tenure, peer approval, etc,
Plus other assorted propaganda, some of which is very _very_ dark (some misanthropic, some Authoritarian Left, some Neofeudalist, some Rent-Seeking/corrupt,) and the general cultist dynamic in play?
Because if you had spoken to a geologist, you’d still be worried about warming, but you’d be considerably less worried about how much is man-made. The general quiet consensus of the guys who actually know what the record is back past about 1890 = “it might be a problem, but it’s a long range one if it is.” Ditto for solar astronomers. Go luok up why they’re qualified if you don’t know.
THEN,
and this is the most important thing
_even_if_you_are_right_
what’s your plan to stop China, Africa, India, and Central/S America from building a coal plant or 10 a week? They’re *poor* dude. They DGAF. Seriously. Your catastrophizing is nothing in the face of daily real life catastrophy.
You cannot prove any putative “global warming” is man-made. You cannot stop the 3rd & 2nd world’s from having abundant energy unless you want to make war on their poor & not just your own. You propose economic chaos & real misery for your fellow citizens for very little relative change in C02. Check the DOE Prospective on the Paris accords effect. So miniscule you won’t believe me. I almost don’t. A rounding error. Less than a rounding error.
Because let’s be clear man: 66% electric car mandates makes Iraq seem genius. Dumbest policy I’ve seen in 60 years.50 Trillion just for grid upgrades. LOL! #1 with a bullet.
Anyone who tried it would, in fact, probably find out what the black rifles are for. 66% electrics is *literally* war on the poor, tradesmen, sportsmen, grocery purchasers, power company clients, fans of a stable grid, fans of low inflation, wilderness enthusiasts, Northerners, and most especially Rural Americans. Which is why it’s probably evil in the guise of dumb.
Where exactly would the poor charge their 60K cars? At the house they don’t own? At one of The Emperor’s New Chargers? Zero for 7 billion so far. Gonna jam a charger in 50% of apartment spaces?
So if the next words out of your keyboard aren’t “100 new US nuclear plants by 2030,” we all know you are either a propagandite, a misanthrope, a neofeudalist, another kind of poor-deploring elitist, a “climate scientist,” a virtue signaler, or just someone who likes to say things with certainty that are FAR from certain… or maybe you just love lockdowns. One way or another.
Because I don’t know if my perspective is right (the geologist view: we should keep a non-hysterical eye on it but also understand the earth is a super-complex system no model can mimic,)
but I do know this:
If I’m wrong:
nothing the West does to defenestrate our economies & immiserate billions will do jack squat in the face of the realpolitic realeconomik of the developing world + the inevitable mass cheating a la bill gates planting some theoretical tress to mitigate his jumbo jet’s plume of pure carbon.
Technology fixes this. Nothing else. If it’s broken.
None of the “green” technologies are even *close* to a solution…. besides nuclear, which is actually kinda green holistically. You want money for X-prizes for *good* green tech? I’m listening. Also for nuclear & the necessary grid updates.
For 66% electric cars & fossil fuel sanctions & lawfare in the agencies for every new permit? Pipeline shutdowns w massive job loss? Enriching Venezuela & the Saudis instead of *us?* Plus too many other idiotic “green” policies to even count? If so you’re my enemy & the enemy of anyone who lives in the real world, the enemy of our incredibly prosperous society.. I like our society. I like our people. Even the “deplorable” working men! I don’t owe my enemies *any* consideration. I owe them new incentives. Painful if necessary.
Any other conclusion denies logic, a basic understanding of human nature, economics, history, how Science actually works, and the fact that Utopian movements always produce Dystopias.
That or the speaker cares more about authoritarian power than all that drivel in the last paragraph. They’re “unburdened by what has been.” because real neofeudalism with Communist characteristics has never been tried.
“We have to do much more.”
Fully agree.
We need to fund more research into natural climate variability and we need to restore the placement of historical temperature readings into the record, while stopping the practice of adjusting data upward when it presents obstacles to political messaging.
An interesting hypothesis has become a new religion, replacing scientific order, method and objectivity with secular faith.
Yes, I agree, we need to do much, much more.
Of course temperature leads, warming temperatures release carbon dioxide from the oceans. Doubt it; gradually warm up a glass of club soda and watch the carbon dioxide “boil” off.
Which is then absorbed by the plants which release oxygen. Real scientists understand that the plants all need CO2 to survive and thrive. We are perilously close to reducing the CO2 in the atmosphere below that needed for green things to exist. We are screwing ourselves with this green woke bullschiff.
I think Obama war right. Look who President Biden left us with: Kamala Harris.
Perhaps Biden will “f–k things up” again and Kamala will lose to Trump in the general election.
For the sake of the US and for my sanity, I sure hope so!
Gateway pundit has article with Biden (now Harris) campaign source saying Biden pushed Harris as a F/Y to Obama for current and past back stabbings. Obama knows Harris can’t win and wanted Mark Kelly of Arizona instead.
They sure are free with taxpayers cash. It seems that politicians it’s not like real money.
The trouble is, it’s not real money.
Inflation is something only the government can do to us.
I really enjoy I&I’s perspective. The comparison of the Inflation Reduction Act with Mao’s Great Leap Forward is great! A “vast economic waste” indeed!
Electric vehicle subsidies are the most Great Leap Forward-ish US government effort I’ve ever seen. Until we have a surplus of green generation capacity, electric vehicles don’t reduce greenhouse gas emissions – they only impoverish us.
Our only saving grace may be that consumer resistance to being force-fed electric vehicles may limit the cost of the IRA’s electric vehicle subsidies. $7500 for the vehicle, $3000 for the battery pack, and a 30% tax credit on the cost of manufacturing facilities could easily amount to $20 – 30 billion a year if electric vehicles really caught on.
1960’s – oil gone in 10 years… not!
1970’s – another ice age in 10 years… not!
1980’s – acid rain will destroy all crops in 10 years…not!
1990’s – the ozone layer will be destroyed in 10 years… not!
2000’s – the ice caps will be gone in 10 years…still waiting Al Gore!
None happened – but a lot of people got filthy rich along the way!
