Is Biden About To Declare Himself Climate Dictator?

Democrats have already made it clear that they will stop at nothing – nothing – to prevent Donald Trump from winning in November. So, we aren’t surprised to read reports that President Joe Biden might declare a “climate emergency” this year in hopes that it gooses his reelection odds. Never mind that such a declaration would put the U.S. right on the path to a Venezuela-style future.

Late last week, Bloomberg reported that “White House officials are weighing whether to declare a national climate emergency several months out from the 2024 election.”

Bloomberg goes on to report that:

White House advisers are divided over the idea of declaring a climate emergency, with some saying it wouldn’t provide Biden with enough newfound authority to make substantial changes, the people said. Others, however, argue such an announcement would galvanize climate-minded voters.

Read that again. Inside the White House, the only reason being given for not declaring an emergency is that it wouldn’t give Biden enough dictatorial powers.

That’s a stunning admission from an administration that is supposedly devoted to “protecting democracy.”

Let’s leave aside the entirely fatuous notion that there is anything even remotely constituting a climate “emergency.” What would be the basis for such a declaration? The number of hurricanes, fires, floods? None of these has been trending upward. Death rates from natural disasters are a tiny fraction of what they were 60 years ago, and lower than they were 20 years ago. Food production is way up.

But Biden has already used the “climate crisis” as an excuse to impose a draconian electric vehicle mandate on the country, attack a host of household appliances, pour billions into “clean energy” scams, and more.

As Bloomberg notes, declaring a climate emergency “could enable the president to halt or limit crude exports for at least a year at a time, suspend offshore drilling, and throttle the movement of oil and gas on pipelines, ships, and trains.”

Apparently all that is not enough “newfound authority” for Biden’s minions.

As we just learned from the three-year COVID national emergency, the left will eagerly use a climate emergency declaration to strip Americans of basic rights.

Whatever you think of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., he is one of the few who has been outspoken about the dangers the COVID precedent set.

“We’ve now established a precedent in this country – they suspended the First Amendment: religion; freedom of association when they did the lockdowns,” he told Fox News.

“[They restricted] freedom of speech. They banned jury trials against vaccine companies – that’s [a violation of] the Seventh Amendment. They abolished property rights [which violates the] Fifth Amendment [when] they closed 3.3 million businesses with no due process, no just compensation, although there was no pandemic exception in the United States Constitution.”

Way back in 1973, a Senate report noted that emergency declarations give the president the ability to “seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens.”

Three years after that report came out, Congress passed a law designed to put some guardrails around these powers.

But COVID showed how little these guardrails mean when Democrats are in charge. And Biden has already shown that he couldn’t give a hoot about legal or constitutional limits to his authority – especially when he thinks it will help his reelection chances. Just look at the repeated attempts to undermine the Constitution with his student loan bailouts.

Declaring a climate emergency would give Biden the ability to control anything that uses energy – which means literally all human activity – in the name of fighting this emergency.

If Biden were to declare a “climate emergency” and if – God forbid – it helps him win reelection, there will be little hope for the future of this nation.

  • When Chuck Schumer told Trump that the intelligence people could get him six ways from Sunday, or something to that effect, there seemed no sense of disapproval and was more a warning that he, the Democrats, and the intelligence folks are all on the same page. It showed me that Chuck and by extention the Democrats en masse are authoritarians and are in control, or believe themselves so.

I hate to say this because people will simply say I am conspiracy minded, but the Democrats have become our version of the German NSDAP of the 1930s. One could write a treatise on the similarities of language, behavior, political tactics, beliefs and enemies. Now that they appear openly anti-jewish the analogy becomes nearly complete. The treatment of Jews is always a litmus test for societal health.

  • Given that Below Average Joe scarcely has control of his bowels, his becoming a ‘dictator’ of anything is dubious at best. This means that we need to look behind the bumbling facade of the Biden (mal) Administration to see who is really pulling the policy strings. Expect from this gang of neo-Communist lunatics a decidedly anti-science, anti-freedom, and anti-American “solution”. The fact that such decisions are supposed to be passed by the Legislative branch is another notion utterly ignored by this, the single worst government in the history of our Republic.

People, the only way we can save ourselves is to get involved, and vote every one of the elected traitors out of office.

  • Make no mistake. We are stuck with this party because of two words: Social Security.

Nobody in significant numbers is buying anything this bunch of fascist lunatics is selling, but so long as there is Social Security and we are stuck with the mythology that it’s still 1935 and ol’ granddad would have lost the farm if not for that nice Mr Roosevelt, it will be impossible to dislodge them from their positions of power.

Chandelle Winery, founded in 1986 by Robert, his late father, Bruce Arnold and his late mother, Barbara, consistently bottled Gold Medal winning small production wines for over 30 years. The company retired from winemaking operations in 2017. Robert is also a writer of fiction and non-fiction. An Air Force Brat as was his father, Robert has lived in many places in the United States and overseas in Great Britain and Europe. It was there at an early age that he first learned to enjoy and appreciate wine which has been a happy part of his life ever since. He is a graduate of the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and also earned a masters degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Journalism. Later he added extension courses in wine making, sales and growing. After special distillery access during extended visits to the Speyside whisky country of Scotland, he has added blending and tasting skills in that arena as well. Robert was a long time member of the Air Force Memorial’s Site and Design Committee whose work resulted in the construction of the Air Force Memorial in Washington DC, dedicated and presented to the Nation on October 16, 2006. Robert’s wife Kathy an accomplished chef and former restaurant owner, is also a graduate of the University of Denver and holds a masters degree as well. She is currently the Coordinator of Graduate Programs at California State University (Maritime) in nearby Vallejo.
    Robert says:

The forecast is for a 2024 bad hurricane season on the East Coast. Well, the timing will go like this, perhaps, “See the storms? Climate! Stop using energy (in ‘bad ways’) and they will stop.” Thus opens the door for the Climate Dictatorship. This could be really bad.
