Just Say No To Biden’s Border ‘Deal’

After spending three years denying that there is a border crisis, President Joe Biden wants the public to believe that the reason more than 6 million immigrants have flooded over the southern border on his watch is because of Republican intransigence.

Now he’s taking this up a notch. He claims he desperately wants to “shut down the border,” but Republicans are standing in the way … for political gain. This is a lie for the history books.

Just how dumb does Biden think the public is?

On his first day in office, Biden started signing executive orders rescinding policies that President Donald Trump put in place that had dramatically cut the number of illegals trying to sneak into the country. Biden stopped construction of the wall. He hamstrung border agents. Those actions – none of which required congressional action – had exactly the effect everyone expected. Illegal crossings exploded. (See the chart below.)

Even now, Biden is fighting with Texas to cut razor wire that the state put up on private and state-owned land to block off popular border crossing spots. He doesn’t need to sign a bill to stop that lunacy.

For Biden to claim that his hands are tied without a new piece of legislation is a big, fat, lie.

In fact, if Biden wants to restore the southern border, all he has to do is reinstate the policies Trump enacted and Biden vacated as soon as he set foot in the White House.

Biden’s border lies don’t stop there.

In a statement released this week, Biden says that a bipartisan group of senators are putting together a plan that “would give me, as president, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law.”

What? What does Biden mean “when the border becomes overwhelmed”? It’s been overwhelmed since he took office.

What’s more, it turns out the bill wouldn’t close the border at all – unless illegal crossings top 5,000 per day on any given week or if average daily encounters reach a 4,000-a-day threshold in a one-week. Or something like that.

Keep in mind that under Trump, illegal crossings averaged less than 1,500 a day. At one point they were down to 570 a day, which is still a ridiculous number.

This bipartisan bill would, in effect, codify a huge monthly influx of illegals – and that assumes Biden would bother to enforce it.

He also wants tens of billions of additional dollars – all unbudgeted and deficit-financed – to hire 1,300 border patrol agents, 375 immigration judges, 1,600 asylum officers, and other programs. But those border agents won’t be patrolling the border. They will be processing illegals into the country.

The funds won’t do anything to secure the border. They would just let Biden process illegals and ship them into the country more quickly.

Lies upon lies upon lies.

If this legislation is approved in the Senate, it will almost certainly die in the House. But that’s the point. Biden has no intention of securing the border. He just wants to pin the blame for this disaster on Republicans.

Rather than fall into this trap, here’s what Republicans should do.

Tell Biden that they will pass these bills – but only after he’s secured the border.

That is, after he’s reinstated Trump’s policies. After he’s stopped sending the federales to cut the Texas razor wire. After he’s restarted construction of the wall in earnest.

And most importantly, only after illegal crossings have dropped back down to Trump-era levels.

Shove Biden’s lies back in his face. Every day. 24/7.

This is a monumental, urgent, humanitarian crisis. Republicans need to start treating it like one.

  • The problem, of course, is the media; they will broadcast the lies, and half the public will believe that the Republicans are withholding funds for political gain. I’ve already seen the stories.

  • The problem, of course, is that media will broadcast the lie, and claim Republicans are refusing to pass the BS Senate bill because they want to use immigration as a campaign issue.

  • If you swap the populations of Haiti and Sweden, in a short time the place once called Haiti will be a island full of industry and tourism and one of the safest islands on earth, whereas the place formerly known as Sweden will be a desolate hellscape of rape, murder, pillage, decay, and ruin.

There is no magic dirt. Places are the way they are because the people who live there made them that way. Import enough from terrible places into civilized lands and that’s what you will become — and the critical mass required to swing the balance is not very high.

  • To me, it is obvious. Biden wants it both ways. He’s increased the likelihood of Democratic voters, using illegal aliens. Now, he-and the Democratic Party-wants Biden to get re-elected.
Once he’s in, the border will no longer be an issue, and Biden-and his Democratic cohorts-will conveniently forget that the border’s back door is unlocked.
We might as well send invitations. The crisis at the border is nothing but a Democratic scam 1) to increase Democratic voters, 2) to blame Trump for the flood of illegals and 3) to re-elect a Democratic brain dead, doddering old man, as President.
Normally, this should be-as I mentioned- pellucidly obvious; however, with our public school learning and the concomitant lack of critical skill thinking, independents (especially suburban independent women) will view a President Trump as more of a threat to the American Life than President Biden.
What stumps me is that many of these suburban Mom’s have children and grandchildren, but yet, they insist on contributing to the process of our flag being lowered to half-mast- and then lowered more.
