I & I Editorial BoardRep. James Clyburn, who is a co-chairman of Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, recently tried to explain the president’s predicament by saying that he’s “delivered for the American people in such a way that nobody seems to grasp.”
As campaign slogans go, that’s not exactly “Morning in America.” But the truth is that everybody grasps what Biden has delivered. It’s what he’s delivered that they don’t like.
Clyburn, talking on MSNBC, said the public just needs to “look at the facts and stop listening to all of this tweeting and stuff that’s going on out there that’s not good for the American people.”
We took the South Carolina Democrat’s word for it, and here’s what we found that Biden has delivered, at home and abroad.
The cost of living has skyrocketed. Prices have climbed by almost 17% since Biden took office three years ago. Food prices are up 20%. Gasoline is up 26%. Electricity up 24%. Car insurance up 30%.
Real wages are down. Because wages haven’t kept pace with inflation, even workers who’ve been getting raises have been falling behind.
Poverty is up. Last fall, the Census Bureau pegged the poverty rate in 2022 at 12.4%, up from 7.8% in 2021.
The national debt has exploded. Gross federal debt now tops $34 trillion, which is $6 trillion higher than when Biden got the keys to the White House.
Deficits are on the rise. As we reported here last week, deficits in the current fiscal year are running 21% higher than they were last year, setting the stage for a $2 trillion deficit in fiscal year 2024 – nearly double what it was in 2022.
Illegals are flooding across the border. December set a new record for illegal border crossings, bringing the total to 6.8 million under Biden’s open-border policies. Even Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admits that most of them are simply released into the country. These numbers, mind you, don’t count the “gotaways” – the criminals, cartel members, terrorists, and other undesirables who avoided border patrol agents.
Attacks on the U.S. are up. America is coming under increasing attack since Biden took office. Iranian-backed proxies have attacked U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria at least 150 times, most of them since Tehran-supported Hamas terrorists invaded Israel.
“U.S. troops deployed to Iraq and Syria have come under attack from Iran-backed militias 130 times since Oct. 17 as of Thursday, according to the Pentagon, totaling 53 attacks in Iraq and 77 in Syria,” reports Military Times.
In the Red Sea, Iran-backed Houthis hit a U.S.-owned ship Monday just off the coast in the Gulf of Aden. They’d previously launched an antiship cruise missile toward an American destroyer in the Red Sea. Biden recently ordered air strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen. Houthi attacks have forced shippers to send cargo around the Horn of Africa.
A new report says China has been launching more cyber attacks and has a greater plan to cripple the U.S. through hacking.
The world is a more dangerous place. Not only is the U.S. under increasing attack, but Biden’s glaring weakness as a leader has emboldened aggressors around the world. Twenty-one armed conflicts started since Biden took office, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – which has cost U.S. taxpayers more than $75 billion in Ukraine aid to date – and the Hamas invasion of Israel.
The number of deaths from armed conflicts shot up by 176% from 2020 to 2022, according to Our Word in Data.
Yes, Biden has most definitely delivered for the American people. Which is why only a third of Americans approve of the job he’s doing.

Using these vague “policy violations,” Google is now threatening to demonetize us. It’s part of Big Tech’s effort to silence conservative voices.

Right here we see what’s going on. We, the American people, aren’t included in Clyburn’s concept of “the American people.” He means somebody else.
Jim Cylburn the ‘Kingmaker” and Nacy Pelosi’s #2 ( He was with her in the Ukrania stopover) seems to believe he will conjure up another Biden election.
And therefore, Biden will owe the dude …more Federal jobs for his peeps…and so forth.
What about the difference in the cost of living between now and 6-9 months after Biden got inaugurated? 6-9 months is the approximate lag between government policy and economic effect, particularly wrt inflation.
