About Issues & Insights
Issues & Insights is run by seasoned journalists who were behind the Pulitzer Prize-winning IBD Editorials page (before it was summarily shut down). Our goal then and now is to bring our decades of combined journalism experience to help readers understand the top issues of the day. I&I is a completely independent operation, beholden to none, but committed to providing cogent, rational, data-driven, fact-based commentary that the nation so desperately needs.

Actually, in recent years, wind and solar are LOWERING electricity prices. But deniers gotta deny.
You mean with all of the additional standby backup generation in addition to the RENEWABLES. That double the amount of equipment is bringing the price down?
Is that what you’re saying.???
See the problem is is that I work in the industry and I know how much more efficient natural gas turbines have become and I also know that many companies are now running three gas turbines and extracting the heat from them and running a steam turbine as well.
This method has helped bring the thermal efficiency of gas turbines up past the 65% mark.
But nice try…
