  • Michael Ramirez, that’s a great example of “penny wise and pound foolish”. Incandescent bulbs use MUCH more electricity, have to be replaced MUCH more often, so they actually cost MUCH more over time. And LEDs are actually quite cheap now–$1.50 – $2.00. And they save you the bother of replacing them so often.

  • Gee, whatever happened to those mercury-laced squiggly bulbs? They were just as lead-in to the LED bulbs that are now the norm.

    • It took them a while to develop the LEDs to be as good as they are now. Now they are better than fluorescents in practically every way. And incandescents are worse in practically every way.
