The news media can be anything they want to be. There are no laws that demand them to be objective, fair, truthful, or accurate. Consequently, we have an army of journalists who are nakedly biased, vainly divisive, childishly spiteful, and purposely destructive. We can only hope our free market economy responds to the great business opportunity at hand before the press and its Democrat allies make doing so impossible as they work to shut down free enterprise.
At one time, long before radio, television, and the Internet, the newspapers in this country were party organs. Wikipedia, citing the work of university researchers, explains that “prior to the 1830s, a majority of U.S. newspapers were aligned with a political party or platform. … This was called partisan press and was not unbiased in opinion.”
The newspapers of the day didn’t pretend to be objective reporters of fact. Their bias was known and accepted. Not a problem.
Today, however, the media, with a few exceptions, try to cover themselves in a veneer of objectivity when in reality they are the modern newsletter of the Democratic Party and the progressive agenda. Those who aren’t part of their tribe are lied to, sneered at, and marginalized by journalists who not only want to establish a political society while killing our civil society, but want to ensure they’re part of the elite that enjoys the privilege and status of power.
From the TV networks to the major daily newspapers to sophomoric gab shows, the media are in the business of lying, covering up and/or ignoring truth that hurts Democrats, instilling fear, creating an environment in which government can more easily control people who already had been freed through revolution, and “othering” and gaslighting dissenters.
As an institution, the press has been almost wholly taken over by a collection of liberty-loathing progressives, resentful leftists, neo-Marxists, aspiring tyrants, busybodies, bitter scolds, elitists, anti-Americans, and angry, juvenile activists – a composition identical to that of the Democratic Party. For those who doubt this, consider the Democrats’ recent proposal to subsidize left-leaning newspapers with taxpayer money.
Enough.
America needs a new media that will challenge the status quo the way Fox dared to go against NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN. But it needs to be on a larger scale that includes newspapers (even entire chains), websites, social media platforms, television, even radio programming.
The Democratic Party has become the party of the rich, but conservatives and libertarians still have money to invest in a future of respectable journalism that produces objective news and truthful opinion that exposes the left.
We’re not disregarding the front-liners already out there. There are more than a few outlets, whether blogs, actual and web-based newspapers, network shows, or radio talkers, that we respect and rely on. But more is needed. American and Western culture are worth saving. This country is the last best hope for a liberated humanity. Rescue it from the media.

While this article is correct, it is also a bit fanciful. The old media is overstepping its bounds and needs to be checked. The first amendment protects freedom of speech. The Constitution was focused on individual rights. So it doesn’t allow media to suppress the speech of others. It also doesn’t allow private companies to do what the government can’t.
For decades the government stopped private companies from discriminating against many groups and cracked down on offensive speech. This present situation is no different. What is lacking is the will to enforce what the Constitution and Bill of Rights were meant to protect. The Leftists have turned the immune system built by the Founders against itself, sort of like a political case of AIDS.
What is lacking is the will and the courage, and a new media would soon fall victim to the same forces the older media uses to undermine the Bill of Rights. There is no automatic way to create a stable and free society that protects individual rights.

When you live in a Totalitarian state (what the USA is becoming under the current ruling party), the barriers to “a new media” are significant. Government, media, big tech, corporate America, et al. are a “united front” in this newly emerging Totalitarian State seeking to emulate the repressive, intolerant communist world (e.g. USSR, Eastern Europe, CCP). Thus, Amazon acts on behalf of (or in alignment with) the ruling party and bans “incorrect” books and pulls the plug on its web or cloud servers hosting media not towing the party/gov line. Twitter and Facebook get lectured by congressional Democrats to step up the censorship, and respond by banning President Trump and his associates and “de-monetizing” thousands of alternative media sites to prevent growth and development of “new media.”
As long as the spawn of Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin collectively run the USA, freedom and “new media” will have a tough time. Reestablishing freedom in the USA may necessitate a “government in exile” approach (e.g. Florida, Texas), and doing like “pirate radio” and finding safe havens outside the USA (if any exist). Growing up in the western USA, we got “banned” music (what the local payola radio stations refused to play) via Wolfman Jack and a mega-transmission tower broadcasting from Mexico. In the EU and UK, pirate radio found safe havens at sea.
When all it takes is a nod or a tweet from the ruling party and its mob henchmen to pull the plug on free expression and ban financing of alternative media, then true freedom, if not dead, is close to being mortally wounded. A big question is: How long, or how many generations will the current totalitarian repression and cancel culture last?
Fairly much, conservative, alternate media sites have the role of what the Soviets termed the “Samizdat” press. It’s quite possible that if one expresses his LAWFUL opinions, (s)he may nevertheless be “cancelled” for doing it. The Loony Left will NOT tolerate dissent…so dissent MORE!
Not much I can say here but as soon as I saw the word wikipedia i quit.
Have a Nice Day
As such, Americans have not only lost confidence in the ideal of an objective . This is a path back to sanity from the toxic shattering of reality that Facebook, Twitter, and Google have visited upon us.
The FREE Market would ordinarily allow news and/or media outlets that present a conservative viewpoint to emerge.
Therefore, expect that the Democrats and the Harris-Xiden Administration will do EVERYTHING to frustrate a “Free” Media. They already have by effectively deputizing most of the major Tech Giants to do their bidding, then hiding behind THEIR “1A” rights when it suits THEM. Ergo, they want it BOTH ways.
It’s up to conservatives to ditch the “Fakebook” (Facebook), “Twatter” (Twitter), and “Goggle” (Google) habits, and support outfits like Parler and Gab. Ultimately, the market speaks, but ONLY if we support it.
“ invest in a future of respectable journalism that produces objective news and truthful opinion that exposes the left.”
Well here’s the issue replicating itself. What you want is not ‘objective’ news. You want news that aligns with your political preferences. That’s fine, but pretending that you’re being ‘objective’ here is as dishonest as CNN calling itself ‘objective’. And citing FOX news as a bastion of ‘objectivity’…well that just about blows up your argument twice over.
You want more news that panders to the right, because too many outlets pander to the left. Just come out and say it, or your argument loses all credibility.
I’ve had an idea with all televised or streamed media for the past few years that I will announce here.
All media, if they want an audience that is not physically in front of their face will require a big, red button that will need to be constantly attended to while filming or broadcasting. That button controls two electronic warnings that will be superimposed on the screen – fully verified and vetted truth and opinion or conjecture. The default setting will be opinion or conjecture, meaning that if the button isn’t pushed, the media is just spewing their slant on the subject or 100% b u l l c h i t. When they press the button, they have verified the story as true and can proudly proclaim that they are speaking the truth. They only get so many goof ups per month or they have to stop broadcasting for a set period of time.
I take the Epoch Times.
