States Sue Biden Administration On Keystone And Tax-Cut Ban

Two of Biden’s most egregious anti-growth policy moves are being contested in court.

A coalition of 21 states is suing to challenge Biden’s revocation of the presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen said he was fighting for his state’s economy:

“This pipeline was set to go through six counties in extreme Eastern Montana… five of those counties are already designated as high-poverty counties,” he told Fox Business “The project was set to become the largest property taxpayer in all of those counties… That’s out the window. Just shy of 4,000 jobs, that’s out the window.”

“He can’t simply step in and kill an entire multi-nation and multi-state system of commerce here… Joe Biden doesn’t have veto power over a bill that was passed literally 10 years ago.”

We hope the courts agree.

Meanwhile, Ohio AG Dave Yost has filed a challenge to the nefarious provision of the Biden stimulus that purports to ban states from enacting any tax cuts “funded directly or indirectly” by billions of BidenBucks flowing to state and local governments under the bill as an unconstitutional commandeering of the states.

We hope the courts agree on both these challenges to federal preemption of states’ rights.
