  • If you watch the whole video you will see that the officer trys to handcuff Brooks without telling him that he is under arrest. Then Brooks is trying to get away from the officers, he was not fighting them, he was pushing away from them. He never attacks the officers only grabs the taser to avoid being tased (non-lethal force). He then turns and starts to run away from the officers firing the taser (non-lethal force) backwards as he runs away. He then continues to run when the officer shoots him in the back with lethal force.

I would say that Brooks was wrong to shoot the taser at the officers, however, they never told him he was under arrest and attacked him instead. They used lethal force and killed him when he was running away from them. Both parties used bad judgment, but only one was killed for falling asleep in his car.

    • They don’t have to arrest you in order to put you in cuffs. This perp did everything he could to aggravate the situation, but we’ll probably never know the whole truth since the fascists are in charge of the media and their cohorts in government are fully supporting this violent uprising. Dark times ahead, I’m afraid. Oh, is still OK to use the word “dark”?
