Issues & Insights was founded by seasoned journalists from the IBD Editorials page. Our mission is to use our decades of experience to provide timely, fact-based reporting and deeply informed analysis on the news of the day.
We’re doing this on a voluntary basis because we think our approach to commentary is sorely lacking both in today’s mainstream media and on the internet. You can help us keep our mission going. If you like what you see, feel free to visit our Donations Page by clicking here. And be sure to tell your friends!
Michael Ramirez is a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. His cartoons are syndicated by Creators. Michael won his second Pulitzer while at Investor's Business Daily.
Issues & Insights is run by the seasoned journalists behind the legendary IBD Editorials page. Our goal is to bring our decades of combined journalism experience to help readers understand the top issues of the day. We’re doing this on a voluntary basis, because we believe the nation needs the kind of cogent, rational, data-driven, fact-based commentary that we can provide.

If the Republicans weren’t playing politics, then why did McConnell only allow Republicans to create the bailout bill. A non-partisan unified effort means both parties create the bill together. It is pure politics to have only Republicans draw up the bill and then criticize Dems for wanting make changes critical to the voters Dems represent. McConnell doesn’t believe that all voters should have a voice; only those who support his party. Hey, why don’t we follow China, Cuba, N. Korea etc. and declare all parties but the Republican as illegal. That would drop the charade of having a democracy.
From the people who gave us Adam Schiff, the Squad, Mazie Hirono, Der Schumerglower, and the scowling faces sitting out the States of the Union addresses, we have political silliness.
