Issues & Insights is a new site formed by the seasoned journalists behind the legendary IBD Editorials page. We’re just getting started, and we’ll be adding new features as time permits. We’re doing this on a voluntary basis because we believe the nation needs the kind of cogent, rational, data-driven, fact-based commentary that we can provide.

A fine collection of news and info links.
Re Don Jr’s hit on Biden. Yes, true, why does Biden make outrageous promises, one wonders. Surely he is vulnerable here on very many issues. ‘Joe,’ we’ll ask, ‘you’ve been in the Senate for decades and have bee VP, why didn’t you take significant action to fix this issue before now??’
Re California unplugged. Interesting article. A mankind full of ingenuity unleashed, rather than unplugged, might see value in dispersed energy production and seek to develop that source. Not the unreliable, flora and fauna destroying wind or solar, but rather mini nuclear reactor powering individual communities. Think nuclear submarines. I read that a reactor the size of a hot tub can power thousands of homes. Thus miles of electric lines no longer run through wild lands threatening fire. This could go towards alleviating the vulnerability at our nation’s electric grid. As the hippies used to urge – think globally, act locally.

I always appreciated the IBD editorial. Best of luck in this venture.
