Are Dems Actually ‘Stuck With Biden’? Or Are They Playing A Long Con?

In the span of two days, articles started appearing making the exact same argument: That Joe Biden will definitely, no questions asked, be the nominee come November.

So, naturally, we are left wondering what Democrats have up their sleeve to get the flailing president off the ballot.

On Monday, Vox.com published a lengthy article titled “Yes, Democrats, It’s Biden or Bust.”  The next day, Politico ran a lengthy piece titled “Get Used to It: Biden Isn’t Going Anywhere.” New York Magazine ran a piece with a slightly different take: “Yes, Democrats Can Still Replace Biden (But They Won’t).” The National Interest ran a piece yesterday titled “Democrats are Stuck with Joe Biden.”

We are not suggesting there was plagiarism here, but mainstream journalists aren’t the most independent thinkers on the planet, which suggests that they are getting their information from the same sources.

Let’s focus on the Vox and Politico articles.

Both point out that it’s too late for a challenger to get enough delegates to secure the nomination.

Vox:. ‘The simple answer is no. It’s too late.’

Politico: ‘For starters, it’s too late to make a switch.’

Both dismiss the idea that the Democratic National Committee could force Biden out of the race.

Vox: ‘DNC is not some omnipotent, shadowy operation that has the power, influence, or ability to crown a different party leader. Who do you think chose the DNC chair and vice-chairs? There just isn’t a council of decision-makers who can tell Biden to drop out or choose to ditch him.’

Politico: ‘Oh, you think it will be “the DNC?” They’re not independent actors. The headquarters is an arm of the Biden White House and the state leaders are party loyalists who happily saluted Biden when the president made them shake up the decades-old primary calendar to protect him from a primary challenge.’

They each note that Democratic elites are all behind Biden.

Vox: ‘The vast majority of the Democratic establishment has already united around Biden — endorsing him, stumping for him, and leading the party’s operations because of Biden.’

Politico: ‘Not only isn’t there animus toward the president, but most Democratic elites like him.’

Both dismiss the idea that Biden would voluntarily drop out.

Vox: ‘Biden is the only one who can decide if he wants to drop out before the floor vote. And there are plenty of reasons that wouldn’t happen.’

Politico: ‘If not one Democratic governor or senator is willing to even publicly question whether Biden should run, how would he feel any pressure to change his mind?’

Both insist that nobody wants Kamala Harris to be the nominee:

Vox: ‘The only option that would not risk massive dissension among the Democratic base would be to choose his vice president, Kamala Harris.’

Politico: ‘And even if they did speak up, they’d still be faced with the unpalatable dilemma of choosing whether to embrace or reject Harris.’

Ok, you might say, if two seasoned pundits are coming to the same conclusion, doesn’t that strengthen the case that Bide will, in fact, be the nominee?

Maybe so. But it doesn’t take a conspiracy nut to think that something else is afoot here.

For one thing, if defeating Donald Trump is the Democrats’ paramount concern (to “save democracy” and all), Biden staying in the race seems like the worst possible choice. He is hugely unpopular, and that’s not likely to change. Minorities and independents are gravitating toward Trump. Biden’s physical and mental state will only get worse, and his decline is by all evidence, accelerating. It’s an open question whether he’d agree to, or would be able to, debate Trump.

The chance that he will do something catastrophically stupid or embarrassing grows by the day, and the White House can’t keep him locked away until Nov. 6.

Whatever chaos or complications his stepping aside might create at the Democratic convention seem to pale in comparison to the risks of letting him hobble onward.

For another, Democrats must know that replacing Biden with someone like Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom would massively energize their base, put the burden of old age on Trump, and weaken Trump’s claim that he deserves a second chance. Not to mention the avalanche of adoring stories in the press about whichever Democrat ends up on the ballot.

There’s also the odd claim in the Politico article that all this “replace Biden” talk is coming from Republicans — when in fact Republicans would love nothing more than for Biden to mumble and stumble his way to November, and then suffer a massive, humiliating defeat.

Finally, Democrats are masters at psyops, and we know they will do anything to defeat Trump. Sending the message Biden isn’t going anywhere might just be an attempt to leave Republicans in general, and Trump in particular, totally unprepared when Biden takes himself out of the race this summer.

In short, given that the establishment left is now insisting that Biden will be the nominee makes it more likely that he won’t be.

  • OCCAMS RAZOR
    Simplest explanation is
There is not going to be a election
Sum of all Fears IS JUST A MOVIE
    Sure

  • I share your skepticism about what the Dems are up to on their how to dump Biden conundrum and are as mystified about what they might do. I think they are too, so that’s fun.
I am also mystified on the Kamala challenge. If their greatest fear is alienating the left by dumping her because it defies DEI protocols all they need to do is replace her with someone else who checks the black and female boxes right? My question is this, why does the media behave as though Michelle O is the only one of those out there? Somewhere Stacy Abrams is pissed.

  • A long/(short) Con? Huh? Listen, everything coming out of the Corporate/leftist media, both paper and electronic, is a con, or a lie. It is what they do..

A hat tip and thanks to I & I for keeping an eye on these ********. Personally I avoid them like drug pusher and pimps.

  • Those financial donors and other contributors who have invested in the Biden presidency have gotten excellent ROI. The Democrats in Congress have a blank check President. The cabinet secretaries and senior executive service careerists have a blank check. The corporations and educational institutions that profit from Federal contracts and grants have a blank check. There’s a great deal of vested interest in keeping him on whatever meds are needed to make it through the race. Perhaps the real drama will be on the undercard. Could easily see Kamala being replaced making it possible for a successor to step in if Mr Biden should not be able to make it through a second term.

  • First, tell people they have no choice. Next, after they get worked up enough, give them the one option they would never have accepted and tell them they now have freedom to choose.

  • Nonsense. Joe will announce at the convention that he is withdrawing. 1st round votes will go to him as required, then the Super Delegates will step in and insert whoever the Dems have (already) chosen.

  • They can’t be serious about keeping Biden. He already has late stage dementia, already unfit to serve. Imagine what that looks like in January 2029 when the term ends. If they don’t replace Biden as the nominee, they will surely need to replace him if he somehow manages to win another term.

I can think of 2 hypothetical scenarios in which it makes sense to keep Biden, but they are really bizarre.

One is to tacitly admit there are no other Democrats ready to function at the Presidential level. Give Biden what he wants, let the voters have their way, let Trump win, focus on 2028. As bizarre as that is, it eliminates Biden and Harris forever.

The other is to imprison Trump, since nothing short of that will stop him. This would be tantamount to cancelling the election altogether. Haley’s campaign implodes when Democrat media lapdogs intervene to save Biden. He would be the ghost President, rarely seen or heard, leaving the job to cabinet members, similar to Reagan’s second term.

    • They have their marxist judges, lawyers, and jurys in place to send trump up the river. The same way lenin, stalin, hitler, mao, castro, etc. did; and more recently putin does. They have gotten away with so much right out in the open in the last several years that they cannt believe how stupid really are but they are going to pull another fast one with the upcoming election. Dont be surprised if it works. The republikan party has become as useless as t-ts on a bull(or the whigs) and should have been dumped a long time ago.

  • I cannot wait to hear Bidens acceptance speech at the DNC Convention. I’ll bet it will be scintillating.

  • Tribunals for members of the Propaganda Ministry and their minions, will be brief.

  • Ahh….
    The old headfake trick…
Excuse me while I answer the shoe phone…
    -Maxwell Smart-

  • I too think Biden will be the nominee – if he is still alive. If not, then we have President Harris, and I think she runs the risk of a total campaign implosion and coming in 3rd behind Kennedy and Trump. That poses big risks for Trump too, because RFK probably has a higher ceiling than Trump in a general election.

  • The DNC can’t force him out, because they aren’t in charge. Obama could send him packing.

  • Let’s put it this way, Bribem is the left’s #1 puppet, he’s so easy to control so, yes, they want him on the ticket.
Now, if he some how miraculously beats Trump then we will know beyond a doubt that the deep state is stealing our elections.
Their final destination is the One World Government which will render our Constitution null and void.

  • Biden is a tool. They just need him as a tool they can manipulate. No one else better fits the bill.

  • Everything the leftist Groomer Party says and does is a lie and con.
Sadly about 40% of the country believes them.
if American Pravda, the propagandists for The Groomer Party
are reporting Pedo Joe polling at 37%, rest assured that the number
is far lower. They aren’t panicking because they are going to
steal 2024 like they did 2020. And The Stupid Party is going to let them
because the whole charade is The Uniparty.

  • Communists always have something up their sleeve. They could never win by being honest with the “public” about who they really are and what they really are after. Too many “useful idiots” out there to try going about it honestly.

  • It’s obvious to me the DNC knows Joe Biden can’t win and will be thrown under the bus. To find out who will be their nominee I looked into my crystal ball. There I saw the daughter of the Beast…no, not Kamala, not Michelle. I saw Hillary Rotten Clinton, and she was screaming mad ready, with wild eyes, and frothing. As Rush Limbaugh would say- “don’t doubt me on this folks”.

  • It’s very probable that the DNC and the RNC will share the same shame.
Trump will be convicted as a Felon. Hence, he’ll be replaced at the Repub. Convention. BribeDone will be Impeached. And he’ll be replaced at the Dem. Convention.
This forecast is not based on a crystall ball. It is based on the polls.
Polls have been published that show Trump will free fall to 30% approval upon being convicted even after he wins as the Primary nominee. And polls already show Jose ByeDumb at 30 % for allowing the illegal invasion at the border. So, both presidential HasBeens will be forced to retire.
Yet, because the DNC and RNC both limited who could oppose both political GodFathers of our Democracy, a sonic boom from the voying results will cause an political eartquake at all the alphabet news networks. With the established 70% rejection established in both Parties, A 3rd Party Candidate will easily overrun the new replacements from the summer conventions with 35% of the Independent Voters.
This conclusion will be history 1 day after the Nov. 2024 Election.
    Adam of CA.
