Impeach Joe Biden

I&I Editorial

Even before Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination, the left was calling for his impeachment. Then they spent four years looking for excuses to drive him out of office. So, in the turnabout-is-fair-play department, perhaps it’s time to start making the case for impeaching Joe Biden.

Let’s first review how the left treated Trump’s win four years ago. Immediately, #resistance started trending on social media, as though somehow Trump had invaded the country. Protesters shouted “not my president.” Pundits speculated that he’d rigged elections in the battleground states he won. The entire country was then treated to years of fake news about how Trump supposedly colluded with Russia to steal the election.

Throughout it all, there was the constant buzz about Trump’s impeachment and a steady stream of stories such as:

“Could Trump be impeached shortly after he takes office?”

“People Are Searching Google for Ways to Impeach Donald Trump”

“Democrats Are Paving the Way to Impeach Donald Trump”

“Talk of Impeaching Trump May Be Premature, But Its Time Will Come “

These and countless other headlines ran before Trump’s inauguration.

Heck, the New York Daily News penned an editorial titled “Impeach Trump” that ran on March 2, 2016 – two months before he was the GOP nominee. The entire editorial consisted of one sentence: “It’s not too early to start.”

None of these calls was based on anything credible or actually impeachable. How could they be, since Trump presumably would have to actually be in office to commit any “high crimes and misdemeanors”?

All of it was designed to serve one purpose: To cast his presidency as illegitimate, undermine his ability to get anything done, and lay the groundwork for his defeat in 2020. When Democrats did finally find an excuse to impeach Trump, it was a farce that even they completely ignored after it was over.

Now, these same miscreants are acting as though Trump is threatening to destroy the country by insisting that multiple accusations of election fraud be investigated before states certify the results. Suddenly, doing anything to undermine the credibility of a Joe Biden presidency is dangerously un-American.

Nevertheless, Democrats have lowered the bar for impeachment so low that, by any fair reading, calls for Biden’s impeachment can’t be dismissed. After all, they involve corruption, abuse of power, spying on a political opponent, and covering up sexual assault.

Let’s review.

Huntergate. As we pointed out in this space, the evidence of corruption stemming from information discovered on son Hunter Biden’s laptop is serious and involves the “Big Guy.” Joe has already been caught in one lie about his knowledge of Hunter’s business dealings. “Any of this being true should disqualify Joe Biden from the presidency,” we wrote a while back. And it might have, had the press not buried the story. A poll after the election found that almost 5% of Biden voters say they wouldn’t have voted for him had they known about the scandal – more than enough to cost Biden his wins in battleground states.

Ukrainegate. While Democrats impeached Trump on the entirely baseless charge that he threatened to withhold funds from Ukraine unless they investigated Hunter Biden’s role in a corrupt energy company, Biden bragged about threatening to withhold funds to get a prosecutor investigating that company fired.

Spygate. As PJ Media noted recently, Biden appeared to play a role in the FBI’s effort to derail Trump’s presidency by railroading Michael Flynn. “He was part of an Oval Office meeting discussing the investigation, and earlier this week a list of top Obama officials who requested Flynn’s unmasking was revealed … and Joe Biden was on this list.”

Readegate. Tara Reade’s sexual assault claim against Biden would have consumed his campaign if he were a Republican. Instead, Biden stonewalled. He refused to allow a search of his Senate records held at the University of Delaware to check Reade’s claim that she filed a complaint at the time. The media dutifully lost interest. Coverup, anyone?

Fraudgate. It’s virtually impossible that the current litigation will result in a reversal of the election. But investigations into the legitimacy of the vote counts in states where Biden won by razor-thin margins ought to continue. If fraud occurred, the public must know about it. If Biden or anyone in his campaign knew about it, they should be held accountable.

To be sure, the last thing we’d want is for Biden to be removed from office and the reins handed over to Kamala Harris. Plus, the founders intended impeachment as a last resort and set a very high bar for removal. There’s a reason no elected official has ever been removed from federal office through impeachment. It would be nice if both parties adhered to the founders’ guidance.

But there’s no reason for Republicans to shy away from playing hardball with Biden. Commencer les investigations!

  • The word you are searching for is, “YES” “YES” “YES”, It’s Karma Billy…

  • What we will get is Cover-upGate. None of this will be investigated after Trump leaves. Instead, they will go after him and his family forever.

    • Yes Andrew “Hatchet Man” Weissman is already trying to get traction on the idea that Trump post-presidency deserves to be prosecuted for…something. Because…reasons. Now that’s a guy who himself deserves to serve hard time for his multiple crimes of prosecutorial overreach and destroying evidence and obstructing justice.

    • As the leader of the new populist movement, Trump must be destroyed. His deep state enemies will do everything they can to steal the election, then bury him so he can never be a threat to their oligopoly again.

  • While we’re impeaching Joe Hiden, it’s only fair that we also get FISA warrants to tap the phone and scoop up the emails of all his aides and two hops from them so we get Hunter AND his Ukrainian mob friends.

  • The only reason I’ll vote republican in 2022 is to impeach the two radical lying traitors that cheated thier way into the Whitehouse. If Republicans dont impeach, I’ll never vote republican again.

  • If there was a functioning DOJ and patriotic people in the government at all levels we would be preparing for the 2nd term of President Trump
I am all for impeaching joe biden should he be inaugurated. Though the idea of a harris administration makes me nauseous
Nothing will happen to anybody other than Trump and supporters

  • I hear that a woman named Terry LaFarge has just taken up knitting. Let the games begin.

  • Biden won’t be President long enough to impeach him. He will be forced to step down so Kamala – the real candidate for president – can take over.

    • All very witty and interesting folks, but what are WE DOING about it? It isn’t enough to be a keyboard warrior anymore. Get off your asses and organize, donate to Loeffler and Perdue!

  • Can’t impeach Biden the Usurper, assuming he worms his way into the White House. Donkeys control the House, and by the time the 2022 midterms arrive Joe will be wearing a bib and an adult diaper in a home somewhere, if he’s still alive.

But Willy Brown’s Squeeze should give people all the reason they need to tip the House to the R’s, if for no other reason than to impeach.

Of course, impeachments always go to the Senate to die, but hey, it’ll feel good to do to them what they think they can do to others with impunity. These days, what more reason is needed?

  • Given that impeaching Biden would result in a Harris administration (and given her well-developed lack of conscience, we can anticipate she would choose someone even more ridiculous as VP to guard against being impeached herself), it is probably a bad idea to follow through on an impeachment. Besides, given his clear descent into dementia (from a very low intellectual bar), he’s not really going to be doing anything.

The real issue before the American people is who will actually be running the Executive Branch while Joe Biden makes the occasional (very brief) public appearance and otherwise is well-kept (because if he dies, whomever is pulling his strings would lose his/her./their role when Harris brings in her team).

    • There’s no statute of limitations on treason. The cases are already filed. We just need to follow through no matter what. Whether or not it’s this week or two years from now. Impeachment is almost a formality. There are real treasonous criminal charges for Biden. From Benghazi to Russiagate to his compromised blackmail-bait son laundering dirty money for him. The only thing yet to be seen is if you or any American can manage to maintain the attention span for it. Or will the next Facebook video or season of Stranger Things make you completely forget that there’s a real world out there? Probably…

  • You’all seem to forget that the rino’s were in on it from the beginning ! From John Boener to John Roberts . From Mitch McConnell to Paul Ryan . From Jeff Sessions to Mitt Romney . Lots of fake republicans were in power and sided with the commie’s . We better learn this ugly lesson because Susan Collins and Lisa Mulkowski are still there .

  • Uhhhh, the Republicans do NOT control the House so how can they impeach anybody? This is “Civics 101″…

    • You bring criminal charges first. So that he’s a liability to everyone, even his own party (many of them think that already). It’s politics 101 and far more relevant than civics. When in your lifetime has the government worked the way it was supposed to anyway?

  • While Biden richly deserves impeachment, if he is removed, you get Harris. Trust me, nobody wants that.

  • Impeachment fantasies are basically frivolous. If this election steal stands, no impeachment will be possible; if it fails, none will be needed. How about we concentrate on demanding election integrity from “our” representatives in government?

  • While I think this article is stating that obvious, it will be folks like Lin Wood and Sydney Powell who bring the suits. The POS Republican Party and it’s RIno shills will do less than nothing besides bend over, grab their ankles and point to the hole for good ol uncle Joe. Same as it ever was. But it will happen and it needs to happen. The MSM wants a post truth world. The ultimate power to have you believe every word they say whether or not a shred of it is factual. Including who the President is, even when he isn’t. That world cannot come. Even if it’s me who has to yard sale everything I own to bring the case myself. This is the precipice. Absent fair elections or an honest media we are slaves. If Joe makes it to inauguration day, the suit must be filed immediately. Remember he didn’t even fairly win the Democrat nomination. Bernie Sanders had more than triple the delegates. He must be impeached before they ever hand him the keys to the WH. The fraud is layers deep.

That said, the house of cards is falling quickly in Nevada, PA, and Georgia. Turns out that ‘invisible ink conspiracy theory’ was true all along. And no 1.8 million mailed ballots do not reproduce to make 2.5 returned ballots. The nuts are going in the vices as we speak. So if you’re one of those few, living people, who actually voted for Biden, be sure to visit him in prison before he croaks. Seems like it could all happen sooner than even the Author thinks.
