The revelation that the main sub-source for the Trump Dossier paid for by the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign was a Russian agent who was once designated a “national security threat” boggles the mind. It means FBI officials, the Obama White House and the Clinton campaign knowingly and fraudulently conspired to use foreign disinformation and taxpayer funds for the political purpose of destroying Donald Trump.
Declassified documents requested by Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham show the “primary” sub-source for the Trump dossier created by former British spy Christopher Steele was earlier actively investigated by the FBI.
The source, an employee at a “prominent U.S. think tank,” first contacted the Russian embassy and Russian intelligence agents in 2006. In 2009, the sub-source offered two different people with close ties to an Obama administration foreign policy adviser money in exchange for classified information.
That’s called espionage. After the approach made to the Obama administration, the FBI launched a counterintelligence investigation of the sub-source that lasted from 2009 to 2011.
As Town Hall’s Bronson Stocking reports, “According to one individual interviewed, the sub-source ‘persistently asked about the interviewee’s knowledge of a particular military vessel.’ The FBI noted its investigation would reopen if the sub-source ever returned to the United States.”
Fast forward to 2016. The Crossfire Hurricane investigation of the Trump campaign’s supposed ties to Russian officials is in full swing. In December, FBI officials discover that the sub-source of the Trump dossier is in fact the same person the FBI investigated years before.
Instead of calling an end to their phony investigation, they hid the information from the FISA courts. That let them continue to spy on Trump campaign aide Carter Page for, you guessed it, suspicion of being a Russian agent.
As noted before, by winning FISA court permission to spy on Page, a low-level aide, the investigators were able to spy on anyone he had contact with in the Trump campaign. In effect, that was everyone.
“To me, failure of the FBI to inform the court that the primary sub-source was suspected of being a Russian agent is a breach of every duty owed by law enforcement to the judicial system,” Graham said, calling it “the most stunning and damning revelation the committee has uncovered.”
The best summation of the whole corrupt “investigation” of Trump came from former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, who tweeted:
“Knowing what we know now, it’s fair to conclude: 1. Clinton campaign colluded w someone suspected of being a Russian spy. 2. MSM fell for it & got duped by Steele dossier. 3. FBI, knowing Steele sub-source was thought to be a Russian spy, conducted an improper investigation.”
Right on all counts.
Lest you think otherwise, these are not mere campaign hijinks or simple errors. They constitute an organized criminal assault on the electoral system, the presidency and our democratic way of life. It’s now clear, if it wasn’t before, that criminal indictments are in order.
For now, we have some simple questions to ask.
Who was the agent of Russia who worked at a “prominent U.S. think tank”? The name we have is Igor Danchenko, who was born in Ukraine and worked for the Brookings Institution for 5 years in the early 2000s. Was the motive money or ideology?
Was the Obama “foreign policy adviser” whose associates or aides the agent of Russia was interested in then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton? Or Obama’s then-National Security Adviser, (retired) Marine Gen. James L. Jones Jr.? Or someone else entirely?
More to the point, the Durham investigation into the origins of the Trump investigation is still ongoing, even as the election approaches. As such, this just-released information was deemed not important enough to keep under wraps, which means it won’t be used in any possible charges against possible wrongdoers.
Again, why? This revelation seems pretty big and damning. Do Durham & Co. have something bigger going on that no one’s aware of? Or will using Russian disinformation to attack a just-elected president be considered acceptable in the future? Further, why did the FBI close its investigation into the sub-source in 2011?
These and other questions need to be answered. It’s now frightfully clear that the DNC, Hillary Clinton, Obama administration officials and elements of the nation’s legal and intelligence community, including the Justice Department, the FBI and the CIA, colluded to conduct an investigation of a U.S. president on the flimsiest of pretenses.
This amounts to an attempted coup, if true. Again, that’s a major crime.
And the aim of this “investigation” wasn’t justice or concern for the nation’s well-being, but the political destruction of a president whom the Washington elite loathes. If more indictments aren’t forthcoming from the Durham investigation, it likely will be a sign that something’s fundamentally wrong with our political system. And it can’t be fixed with just another election.

It was already revealed by Devin Nunes in July that that agent of Russia who substantially authored the Steele Dossier was Igor Danchenko, who is employed at the Brookings Institute and is an associate of Fiona Hill.
The Obama administration did everything they could to brazenly use the bureaucracy of the federal government to impede, sabotage and undermine the incoming administration. They initially believed that Hillary would be elected and there would be no revaluations of their corruption. Never has any administration been this corrupt.
I actually think Mitt Romney’s campaign was also spied on by the same cast of characters and using many of the same techniques. I think it started right after Romney won that first debate. After that, what will all the spying, Obama stole his second election. So the Dems thought they had a fool proof way of ensuring they won the Presidency for Hillary. Unfortunately, they did not count on a candidate like Trump. I do believe the truth about all of this will eventually come out, albeit slowly.
Possibly, the Romney campaign was also spied on using the same techniques in 2012, as in 2016
Of course it was. The truly sad part is now millions of Armed Americans no longer trust any part of the federal “justice” apparatus. This is not going to end well for employees of that corrupt system.
Surely those 30,000 emails contains some clues to these important questions. Still waiting.
The Russia, Russia, Russia investigation was clearly a presidential coup overseen by the Obama administration. This is the worst assault on our republic in history and Joe Biden should be legally disqualified as the Democrat candidate as such.
Many lines of inquiry are clarifying an attempt to subvert the 2016 presidential campaign of the Republican candidate. The players range from what appear to be a few Keystone Cops to professionals, including the special council’s team of partisan attorneys, the FBI’s executive suite, intelligence panjandrums in the outgoing Obama administration and even former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey’s boss at the time, who should be called to account for her actions with respect to the Hillary Clinton email server investigation. Erstwhile Director Comey must answer for a host of errors and puzzling decisions, while his former righthand man, Andrew McCabe, hopelessly entangled in partisan politics in 2017 through a loan to his wife’s political campaign from a major Democratic operative, must explain the meetings in his office involving a loving FBI couple who detested the Republican candidate and later briefly served the special counsel investigating the object of their scorn.
What else lies hidden in the shadows? Will unelected apparatchiks of the permanent bureaucracy continue to wield the power to delay, derail and deny prerogatives of the government elected by the people, and do so in secret and with encouragement of opposition politicians and media? Will the Durham conclusions put a finish to a shadowy Democratic attempt to nullify an election?
Unless charges are brought on the Obama people and Obama himself, it is just another deep state ufo’s are not real. LOL
May we have a moment of brutal candor, no one is going to be even indicted much less go to court and possibly be incarcerated.
All we learn every year is that people in Washington cheat, steal, manipulate, and put the public at great peril physically financially and spiritually.
After last nights debate, it was very clearest was the loser, the American public! Accountable responsible character is dead and buried, this is the best we’ve got folks, garbage in and garbage out!
No, Benghzi was the most corrupt investigation ever
If charges are not made against every person involved, there is no need for a legal system. For that matter every person ever convicted because of a FISA warrant should be released immediately. I don’t know if any of these government agencies can be saved. The FBI, The DOJ–don’t forget the tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch, and the CIA involvement and coverup. This kind of corruption needs to be dismantled and new agencies formed.
