Hillary Thinks God Put Her Here To Be President? Heaven Help Us

A former Clinton adviser says that should Joe Biden drop out of the race, Hillary Clinton will run for president again because “she feels that God put her on the Earth to do it.” Do we really deserve that much punishment from the Almighty?

Dick Morris, who advised Bill Clinton in his 1978 campaign for Arkansas governor, and again in his 1996 White House re-election effort, says it is his “feeling” that Hillary wants to run.

“She feels entitled to do it,” he said on John Catsimatidis’ Sunday morning radio show from New York. “She feels compelled to do it. She feels that God put her on the Earth to do it, but she’s hesitant because she realizes the timing is bad.”

All three of those reasons should disqualify her immediately.

There’s no question about Hillary’s entitlement mentality. It’s a Clinton hallmark. She felt entitled to the Democratic nomination and White House in 2008. Eight years later, with the nomination in hand, she felt entitled to the White House again, because this time it was “her turn.”

During the 2016 primary season, Observer columnist Michael Sainato reminded his readers of what everyone already knew, and knew well, and that is the Clintons feel their “Entitlement Has No Boundaries.” A year earlier, the editorial board of a newspaper from the USA Today network said “even fans of Bill and Hillary Clinton” had found their sense of entitlement “distasteful.” They were turned off by the couple disregarding the “normal rules governing conduct in office,” as well as “the legalisms, parsing and outright evasions.” There was frustration “that her ‘convenience’ trumped the government’s irksome rules governing the retention and archiving of her records.”

Simply put, anyone who feels entitled to an elected office should be kept as far away from it as possible. It’s the sort of mentality that produces dictators, and royal lineages that have to have their power forcibly taken from them. Someone who feels entitled to something will not easily let go of it. Of course this is why Hillary insists, against all evidence, that the 2016 election was stolen from her.

Feeling compelled to be president is another red flag. Some politicians might feel obligated to run for office to change a political dynamic they believe is failing. But in Hillary’s case, it appears she is driven by political narcissism, which has been artfully described by Campaigns & Election as having “a rather inflated image of yourself to believe you deserve power over the lives of others.” Political narcissists are attention-seekers whose grandiosity “verges on exhibitionism,” and tend “to scapegoat when things go wrong.” They are, as well, “extremely convincing liars, and they are the ultimate users — demanding loyalty from others they seldom give in return.”

Being convinced of a divine right to rule is perhaps the most dangerous of the three “feelings” Morris referred to. Anyone with that mindset is convinced they can do no wrong. The laws aren’t for them. The Constitution is a roadblock to their “doing good.” C.S. Lewis saw this when wrote that “of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.” Better, he said, “to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies,” because “those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

Even if Hillary did run, it’s unlikely she’d win the nomination. The Democrats already have their entitled, compelled, and moral busybody candidate in Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
